Introduction
1. The location of Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity are on top of Tel Bethlehem. Under this area is ancient Bethlehem.
2. Bethlehem is where King David lived before becoming King of Israel.
3. This is also where Jesus was born, and the Word became flesh. So, we will be seeing and experiencing the very place where Jesus was born.
4. We'll see evidence of the churches built over this site to commemorate this monumental event.
5. We'll explore a cave complex where Jerome lived while translating the Bible from Hebrew to Latin, the language of the Roman Empire. This cave complex connects to the cave where Jesus was born.
6. This site is not disputed as the authentic site, and to think of what happened here is beyond our ability to comprehend.
Location
1. The Church of the Nativity is located in Bethlehem, about 6 miles (9 km.) south of Jerusalem.
2. It is right beside Manger Square and Manger Street.
3. It is located on the upper mountain plateau route that connects the southern Negev to the upper Galilee region. On this route were cities from the south, like Beersheba, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Bethel, Shiloh, and Shechem to the north. It was a highly traveled route.
4. Today, Bethlehem is in the West Bank but is very safe. Thousands of tourists visit its Christian sites each month with no issues whatsoever.
Historical Background of Ancient Bethelem
1. Bethlehem means House of Bread.
2. It had a population of around 1,000-3,000 people in biblical times.
3. The area of Manger Square, Church of the Nativity, and the area around them actually sit upon a tel. This is called Tel Bethlehem and is where the original town was located.
4. Many of the homes consisted of caves and structures. Often, a home would have both a cave below it and a home on top or beside a cave.
5. The caves would be used for living and livestock as they were cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
6. Jewish, secular, and Christian scholars and archaeologists all agree that this is the birthplace of Jesus. There is no dispute that this is the authentic site.

1. Bethlehem was the prophesied birthplace of Christ. Micah 5:2

3. Many angels appeared to the shepherds near Bethlehem who were watching their flocks.

4. Wise men (Magi) from the east visited and worshiped Christ in Bethlehem. Matthew 2:1-12
5. God warned Joseph to flee to Egypt because Herod planned to kill Jesus. Matthew 2:13-15
6. Herod had all the male children 2 years and younger murdered here in Bethlehem in his attempt to kill Christ. Matthew 2:16-18
7. After the death of Herod, Jesus and His family returned to Israel to live in Nazareth. Matthew 2:19-23

I absolutely love your videos and your teaching! I'm curious what you believe about the migdal Eder Micah 4:8 (Micah 4:6 thru 5:5 for context) and Genesis 35: (vs.16-21 context). Rachel's name means "ewe." And she gave birth to a son with two names, son of sorrow to his mother, and son of the right hand to his father. Seems like scripture hints at the birthplace of Christ being somehow connected with the Tower of the Flock. The shepherds had no trouble finding it as soon as the angels announced the birth, as if they knew exactly where to go. As of they were Levitical shepherds waiting for the Messiah. ❤🙏 Your thoughts?

As speedily but accurately as possible I truly need to know, what do you think when I tell you this video leaves me feeling some certain doubts about Jesus birth place when I know that as you say Micah 5:2 says He would be born there in Bethlehem, but Micah comes across to me also as a potential false prophet when he says at Micah 7:14 I think " we will eat from the table of Gilead" which according to Ezra 2:13 is the beast lineage of 666 from Gad (Gadreel the beast satan who misled Eve from Enoch's prophecy book) which from Ezra in the context to Joshua 13:25 we learn that Gad (666 is or becomes Gilead of which our Lord Jesus Himself expressly warns by first publicly verifying He agrees with Isaiah when He claimed Isaiah's prophecy spoke of His arrival as the sheep to the slaughter, but then later in Isaiah 65:11 warns " don't dare eat from the table of Gad/Gilead/god of good luck)" Too many Bible translations cause confusion but I know Gad means Gilead as per Ezra 2:13 and the subsequent context to Joshua 13:25; I think evil Bible translations like the New World (order) Translation of Scripture use term "god of good luck deliberately mistranslating as they do in so many other places in their bible having so many transliteration and outright false issues! Gilead is after all the 666 anti Christendom mission school of the Watchtower/eye on the pyramid/Jehovah's Witnesses of whom I know from 30 years of enslavery they are the worlds most evil promoting organization and I have proof. I know Jesus says to the 2 men on the road to Arimathia after He rose from the dead as He opened wide the Scriptures to them that " you're a fool if you believeall the "prophets". I think it's possible Micah is one of those false as I also think Samuel since Samuel failed to tell Saul and Israel god said "only I God ought to be your God and King" and later is depicted in Apocalypse as rising from the abyss just as Samuel rose from the abyss of hell by the witch of Endor. The place today is 2,000 years old and is the preserved spot. The cave complex is quite large so there would have been animals and a stable there. As mentioned in the video, we have many eyewitness account and archaeology that shows this is the spot. Thanks for watching and commenting. God bless.
