I loved this song from the first few seconds I ever heard it, right when it was released. It was the first time I'd ever heard of The Church, and one of the first 7" SP's I ever bought. The full album, Gold Afternoon Fix, is as beautiful as a perfect autumn sunset.

The year I left the Navy, the Church was with me and I’ve loved this band since the 80’s when I first discovered them in Australia when my ship was hitting ports down under!

Just a band I liked growing up, bit fan girl enough that Andy learned to play their songs on guitar and was impressed with their talent when we saw them once in concert here in Denver.

Evan if they blank the f word why put the bleep sound on the music. It's dumb and annoying.
@zoeherriot4 ай бұрын
@@paddynemo5411 I can only presume the only copy of the clip they had access to is the TV broadcast one. There was definitely an uncensored version floating around back in the day - and Steve is not shy of swearing.

To fall in love isn't a joke. En español "enamorarse" es un verbo a conjugar hasta la eternidad igual.

Almost certainly the only copy of the film clip they had - it was missing from their channel forever, and when it was uploaded it was the censored broadcast version. There was definitely an uncensored version back in 1990 they used to play on late night Rage on the ABC.

the church have made some excellent music, but boy, they've made some awful videos. this is ok in parts but like many of the awful ones, much too literal. check out the blurred crusade knight in armour running around... if they'd worked with a bob clearmountain of the video world early on it could all have been so different.

I love this album, one of their best, and sits perfectly in between their 2 best albums. And that is from someone who has followed them since the 80's, and owns everything they ever released. Great song.
