...and you are just realising the hypocrisy of the USA government? If I ever got in trouble with the AMERICAN government I would disappear myself into oblivion, acquire a new identity and they would never hear from me again. Here is my list of nations which I consider terrorist nations and extremely dangerous. In no particular order: USA, Russia, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Uzbekistan, Israel, Mexico, and North Korea. This is not to mean that all other nations are fine. A state or nation is like a LION. Many are somewhat tame but ... can you ever truly trust a lion, whether it is tamed or not? No! Same with any nation. If they want to get you, they do. Also, never think that you are protected. All nations kiss up to the former and specially to the USA. So if you are in hiding, truly go in hiding. In most nations it is easy to get a new, fake identity. DO SO and go under. Don't trust best friends. There is no such thing as a best friend. So if you go under, make sure you truly go under. Assange and Snowdon didn't do that. Everyone knew where they were and so they exposed themselves.

With respect, this submission is nonsense as Britain has many, many trusted and dedicated journalists all over the world working to report the truth and not one is a confused traitor and spy like Julian Assange and that's why they are free and working whilst Assange is holed up in Belmarsh prison awaiting extradition to the US for a free and fair trial.
@stephaniecarrow48983 жыл бұрын
@@dianamincher6479 How can Assange -- or anyone -- be a traitor to a country of which he is not a citizen? As for "spy" there is zero evidence of that, as seen in the numerous reports of the FBI's trumped-up case falling apart, and their key "witness," a convicted pedophile and embezzler, recanting his story. The reason other "journalists" don't, for the moment, have to fear imprisonment is that they serve the ruling class and its narrative. They don't tell the truth that Wikileaks has told. That could change for them if this mockery of a case succeeds. It's a slippery slope. As for a fair trial, if you think that someone whom the CIA considered assassinating, and whose attorney/client confidentiality they've already invaded, will get a fair trial, you're not connecting the dots.

See "Guardian journalist negligently disclosed Cablegate passwords 1 September 2011", at Wikileaks, also see "Wikileaks Is Suing the Guardian Over a Security Breach", Connor Simpson, The Atlantic. Assange gave up his freedom to protect his sources. Trump offered to pardon Assange in exchange for the source of the DNC emails. “The proposal put forward by Congressman Rohrabacher was that Assange identify the source for the 2016 election publications in return for some kind of pardon, assurance or agreement which would both benefit President Trump politically and prevent U.S. indictment and extradition,” Robinson, Assange's attorney.

Even Shakespeare has been "mistranslated" in a sense. His interpretation today is one in praise of his queen when he implicitly ridicules her quickness to anger and her domestic laws. It just goes to show you that even English is rewritten in the eye of the beholder. Context is everything, so pay attention lest you find yourself wearing the rose coloured glasses of poor scholarship (all too common in my research).
