Journalist Kevin Gosztola describes the CIA’s central role in the illegal and hostile actions undertaken against Julian Assange and other WikiLeaks members.
WikiLeaks helped expose informations on the CIA’s cyber warfare capabilities. By treating WikiLeaks as a "hostile intelligence service”, the CIA carried on offensive counterintelligence operations, free of government oversight, - allegedly going as far as sketching out plans to kidnap or poison Assange.
