In 2016 we moved to Vancouver temporarily for one year. We started this KZbin channel to hold us accountable to make the most out of our one year. Unfortunately, viewing someones life through the lens of social media can bring ones priorities into question. My favorite aspect of this short film is Becki's emotions surrounding her return to Vancouver - I can totally relate to this as I had a similar experience when I had to abruptly move from Los Angeles to Omaha, Nebraska ... when I returned to LA to visit two years later it was INCREDIBLY emotional. You articulated that feeling so well, both of you, with the metaphor of hiking up the mountain only to tumble back down when you're so close to the top - the pain that occurs when your vision for your life is suddenly upended and you're left trying to figure it all out ... only to realize you're right where you belong. LOVE this. Beautifully done. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Loved your videos from Vancouver and I remember you packing up your apartment to move to Buffalo. I actually went to visit my daughter there last year and fell head over heels for the city and surroundings. Didn't go up to the mountains (next trip) but went to the Island instead and saw the beaches in Tofino and of course ate Nanaimo bars when we crossed over on the ferry. Okay- the drone footage paired with Chris' words around the 7 minute mark, got me crying. Like, not even kidding.
