I visited Chongqing city once and was amazed by its vast number of bridges-over 25,000, and the count is still growing. Many of these bridges are massive and truly impressive feats of engineering. You have people spray painting mountainsides with green paint because the grass is dead, water pipes are a fixed to cliff sides to produce waterfalls because they diverted the river and destroyed a natural waterfall.
