It's a shame some story beats were scrapped. Originally Clare was sinking into a cloud of underwater corruption. The Guardian saved her, brought her to the shore, and drew that mark on her forehead to dispel the corruption.

Actually, that symbol is that of the Clairvoyant. the Guardian chose Clair to be the next Clairvoyant, kinda like how he chose the kid who became the next Guardian.

The good news is that he's still working on storyboard for The Clairvoyant! (He streams progress every now and then and the last time we've seen him work on it is last month.) I think the biggest roadblock right now is just that it's been difficult for him to get motivated to work on the animation, although he's still making pretty good progress.

I only just happened upon this series, and as a cartoon connoisseur I must say that a return to the "silent" type of cartoon set to music is pretty dang awesome in this day and age, on top of that these are short but very compelling stories. +Hmm- Name you say? I heard they might be making a movie, though I'm sure they won't. Gravity Falls ended so nicely, that i f another episode could ruin the whole thing. Maybe a whole new show about Stanley and Stanford and their adventures could be cool, unnecessary, but cool.
