The Clave and the Cascara

Here is a video on playing clave and cascara. This is actually part of Timbale video part 2 but I wanted to separate it for easier access. Both the Son and Rhumba claves are covered. The lesson is located on Pages 131 and 132 of my book Advanced Coordination for Drum Set and Hand Percussion.

So good ! I play the clave on percussion-like bass guitar and then the cascara on the bass, in a Cm pentatonic groovy style. Along this rhytm on my looper, I play a well-balanced rhytm on guitar. Thanks a lot, Rick !
