Regarding the colony choice, with the newfound knowledge that the Word Bearers are looking to conquer your empire, backed by a Greater Daemon no less, it'd make the most sense to me to go with Blessed are the Weaponsmiths: sign up with the Departmento Munitorum and switch the planet to full war economy ASAP to prepare for all out war against Chaos. You are already starting from a major disadvantage considering the state of your territories. From a more gamey perspective, while the grenades don't sound that enticing, only this project out of the 3 gives "weapons" as a unique resource as well, which might be pretty useful for projects/orders later on.

5:23 I know its a small thing but would of been great if the cultists had a cowering animation just before they got crushed by the Daemon Engine. It looked a bit fake and unrealistic them standing there like that with no reaction to their impending doom. Cowering in total fear as they face their deaths would of been great for immersion 😁

You should start using your environment to your advantage.time and time again I see the enemy stand next to explosive 21:13 and you ALWAYS ALWAYS waste the shot. Also you should use your flame thrower more often

I wish Party was paying more attention to more than just damage numbers when it comes to weapons. At 34:41 he declares ‘a bunch of las guns which we don’t need’. Yes, the plasma pistol does more damage and has higher penetration, effectively doing additional 4 damage, for a total of 14-18. Yes, the assault lasgun does only 8-9 damage, but it has a rate of fire of 4. It has a better range and ignores 20% of dodge on targets. If it only hits with half of its shots (2x) it would do a total of 16-18 damage, already more than the plasma, but if it hits 3 or even 4 times (being more accurate) it’s significantly coming ahead in DPR. And of course unlike the plasma, it’s subject to all the good stratagem stuff, allowing it to fire 7 or 8 shots - it completely blows the plasma pistol out of the water. I can’t remember the assault autorifle stats but I think it did 6-8 damage with a base rate of fire of 6. I frankly can’t wait to play this game, I’m going to science the shit out of it. Shame you can’t play as a Mechanicum adept 😅

I would go for blesed are the weaponsmiths as givng the world to a random fugitive aristocrat or tech priests that could stumble across scrap code does not seem beneficial for the planets future

Check the text again on the restoration choice, it involves putting a Fugitive aristocrat in charge of the planet! I don’t think that suits your RP of this play-through. Calculated Holiness I suspect suits the way you’ve been playing better. As for the axe reward from it the righteous fury might be better than the new axes ability if that opportunity attack ability might cause friendly fire (friendly chopping?).

I think you should take the Lance, and then return to Footfall to resuply and refit your ship. And buy grenades...like 100 minimum. Fights go much easier when every charcters is spamming grenades every turn, and they don't miss.

With Krak Grenades you need to hit the target with the dark red centre square or you lose significant damage and AP, you should read the description of how it works.
