The climbing and closing of Uluru l The Drum

Uluru is one of the most recognisable landmarks in the country, attracting more than 250,000 visitors each year.
But recent weeks have been busier than most with an influx of people determined to summit the rock before the ban came into effect.
The ban coincides with 34 years since Uluru and its surrounds were handed back to their traditional owners.
