It would be illegal to have a 1 round magazine that would give you a 2 shot gun 1 in the chamber and 1 in the mag it states that if you have a rifle that accepts a mag that it is legal to use as long as you do not have a mag in your possession

Thank you for the clarification! You are correct, a 1 round mag would actually allow you to hold two rounds, which would be illegal!
