Saw this today on Dateline, which I never watch. I just want to say you coach are the best. These kids deserve so much better environment than this. Everyone does. This makes me so mad. Congratulations on winning the championship back 2 back. But of course you are much more than a basketball coach winner. I pray for your safety, your kids safety, and your City. I would say you need to run for Mayor, but these kids need you. These young men made me smile. I am from west TX and had to tell you Thank You for making a difference!

An American hero. I am not a nationalist, but not a dollar of foreign aid should be spent until we fix our inner city minority neighborhoods. We will spend billions for hurricane flood victims, but nothing to address a daily disaster in our cities.

I went to this high school back in 1987 and 1988. I played on the girls basketball team. We were all city champs then in 1988. I played in the Jazz band. Mr. Strickland was my Jazz teacher. His motto was there is no such thing is Can't!

Good job boys you defeated my old high school Nashville community high school "Hornets" you guys really deserved it just like us. We havent won a championship title in years. You guys go through he'll everyday just to survive and I respect you guys for that. It's hard I lost my grandfather to suicide I can only imagine how it would feel to lose my friends to murder. With that being said it was a great game. It had me on my toes the whole time ! Those dunks will be a great memory. Never forget this day! 💓

Big ups to the Coach for taking the time to lead and keep his young Cagers on the right path in life. As a former High School Athlete I will NEVER forget the things my Coach RIP taught me on the field and off the field. After my playing days were over I would sometimes go back to my High School and seek his advice for problems and issues I had. And he would give me Fatherly advice. Well after my athletic career at my High School was over eventually and after 4 years in the streets I enrolled in College was accepted, graduated, and began a successful career in the Federal Government. Thanks Coach for your mentoring while playing B Ball for you and my beloved High School. 🗣Some of our Coaches in High School are our 2nd Father's or our Father figure if we did not have one around growing up. FOR REAL!! Out!! 🗣♊️👤RISING

Whatever happened to just getting straight A's and a decent SAT score?
@wi77iama773n6 жыл бұрын
Michael sports is gateway for some kids. You have to find away to connect kids to education. School gives you skills, but it can’t prepare you for life. That takes community, male roles models, people who care, etc.. Straight As and dominating the SAT’s will definitely come with those elements.
