The Coast to Coast - Part 2

Part 2 of My Coast to Coast adventure.
The struggle of the elements and the lack of physical training was taking its toll.
I still managed to keep a smile on my face and make light of things along the way.

Now I've seen pt.2, I have to subscribe as I want to see the final instalment of your epic walk. Oh, on a serious note, please walk facing traffic not with your back to it. Much safer on country lanes as you see the traffic well before it gets to you and you can prepare yourself if they are traveling too fast or too close to you. Cheers mate.

I think I struck it lucky when I did my C2C crossing last year as there was no rain whatsoever and everything was bone dry even the Nine Standards. As for waterproof jackets, any jacket will eventually wet out in continuous heavy rain no matter how good it is.

Another great video that was so funny. I dont know what you do as a job but can see a career change . Teading the comments about walks abroad ,there are some lovely camino trails in Portugal and spain,but for all are crap weather in the uk ,you can't beat the countryside.i'm off doing the southdowns in july if it rains i will be eating my words😂,look forward to last vid.x

I like the idea of the different coloured routes for crossing the open moorland arround Nine Standards, memories of crossing the Moors when leaving Kinder Downfall when I did the Pennine Way

My day was Kirkby Stephens to Keld for my overnight camp then the high route over the Moors to Richmond, so peacefull apart from the odd sheep or grouse.

Enjoying your videos bud, just one thing that could save your life, it is common practice when walking down roads without footpaths you have to walk on the right hand side towards traffic, never walk on the left hand side with your back to traffic, only exception is approaching a blind corner, it is far easier to avoid a careless driver approaching from the front than it is from the rear.. Keep up the good work

Was going to say "Looking forward to seeing more!" but considering the last scene. there's not much more to see!! LOL. You've got to love the bogs up on those moors - I went thigh deep in one between The 9 Standards and Keld.

🤣 spoiler alert! it will be safe to watch don't worry. That's where the bog was just after coming away from 9 standards. I strayed away from the path and lost it so checked the GPS and decided to cut across back onto the path and was quite scary how deep they are.

On rainy day like this I do cover myself in rainwear, but opt for swim wear for the day or at least for the duration of the rain.

On my West to East C2C route at Richmond was to cross over the river at Richmond then wild camp in the peace and quiet of the countryside.

A little tip from my army days alway put wet socks at the bottom of you bed or sleeping bag overnight to dry out.

And a good set of boots beats trainers every day especially in the typical (Rainy) English Summer. You do NOT see the Sea until the Last Day when you are approx 5 miles from the Coast.
