The Cobbler (1923) Restoration in Progress Clip, No Sound

Presented here is a clip of a RESTORATION IN PROGRESS of the 8th silent Hal Roach Our Gang short THE COBBLER (1923).
Scans on over 60 silent Our Gang shorts (of the surviving 88) have been performed to date and we continue to look for better material for at least half of the 60, plus additional material to fill in gaps of missing footage from the scans we already have.
It's too early to tell but timeline for the first release is likely late summer/early fall 2023. It is expected that the first volume will contain 10 shorts.

So excited to finally get to see these silent shorts! I've been waiting to see them since I was in junior high when I was obsessed with a book about the Our Gang legacy, that went movie by movie, describing them all, telling about the timelines, the cast changes, the behind the scenes stories, etc. I've always wanted to finally see them! This is a dream come true!
