Appreciate this video, I am going to tune my blue Tuff Lite up to solve the same issue. I'm also going to hit the sharp edges of plastic scales with some sandpaper.

I agree with an XL tuff lite. Nice video improving the action. 15 minutes isn't long with a good useful video like this. Slicker than snot.

I so agree with the g10 and a bigger version. This is one of my fav folders ever, just a wicked awesome knife...cmon cold steel plz make it so! lol at the FF voice. Man I really need to try this with mine when I work the nerve up cause it is a bit stiff to deploy. This was fine at the length man, its super super useful for those of us who have one. Awesome informative video Johnny, loved it man!

@@JohnnyJuke Already done lol, when I saw the premiere title of this I knew where you were going. Man g10 would be sweet on this! The higher quality steel though would smack it out of my price range, thankfully some of their stuff has the budget steel though which I love about the company. TC bro

The Tuff Light is nothing more than a glorified box cutter. With that said, it is a very well designed box cutter made with reasonably good materials, and it will meet most of the cutting needs you're likely to encounter with surprising effectiveness.

Nicely done. I have a couple of Cold Steel 4-inch blades (Voyager & Counter Point) with ridiculously stiff-to-unlock Triads. I may try your methods.

Man...I've been saying that a Large Tufflite would be awesome! I also think that a s35vn Bird and Trout would be great. Or Burgundy/Ivory/Red/ Black/ Micarta AD10.

I agree with the DL idea, but the charm of the Tuff Lite is its quality at such a low price. I have many high end knives that I end up not using when I can use my Tuff Lite or Finn Wolf for the job. They are essentially high quality throw away knives. I do not own any foreign knives other than some Cold Steels. I won’t buy Chinese knives.

You could take more material off the lock bar, it's a fine line though. Once you have a 45 on the lock bar, radius the corners. The blade will roll onto the lockbar more smoothly.

I love the Tuff Lite just like it is. It would be cool if there was a flipper with a button lock version, but its the perfect shape and size for my hand. Like an extension of my hand that gives perfect control of the tip with my thumb on the back.

@Johnny Juke - You definitely have much experience with cold steel and doing nice work to them, do you know how to rectify vertical up and down blade play while the knife is locked on a cold steel tri-ad lock? I’ve had some come new with some vertical play and I’ve used some hard to where they developed some as well. However I’ve also used some hard and gotten lucky where they still developed no play.

I keep thinking maybe i can sand those “washers” off the inside of the scales and put in bronze washers of the same thickness. I wonder if it would make any difference.
