I'm originally an Iranian and converted to Christianity recently. Iranians aren't Muslim anymore. If you say 40%, I dare to say that the real number is far less than that since those who identify themselves as Muslim in Iran, just say so because they don't know anything other than Islam, their lifestyles, their relationships, etc aren't Islamic. Even the government itself once said more than 80% of mosques in the country are shut down and empty all year. Iran is neither Islamic nor religious. Those who have other religions or beliefs than Islam are secular, and most of Iraninans are secular.

A similar situation is in Turkey as well. The official consensus made by the Islamic government claims that about 89.5 percent of the population is Muslim but in reality the ones that claim they are Muslims are about 60 percent and the ones that actually pray and fast and all of that is only about 5-10 percent of the population. A lot of people simply don't care about it and atheism is rising significantly among younger people. All the mosques are either filled with old people or empty. ISLAM GUIDANCE. I am Irish, was brought up Catholic. I am now agnostic. I am 70 years old. I do not follow any religion. Ireland is no longer a Catholic state. And that is something I welcome. The Ireland I grew up, the Catholic churches were packed on Sunday.Now why were the Churches packed on Sunday? Let me explain. I was told at the age of 7 that you deliberately missed Mass on Sunday, you were commiting a hellfire sin.( that is after you reached the age of reason). When I came to England a friend of mine remarked on the large attendance of Catholics at Sunday Mass. Obviously, he was unaware of the power of religious indoctrination. Bear in mind the Ireland was about 97% Catholic. On another note,whist there was no apostasy law in Ireland, my friend converted from Catholicism to Jehovahs Witnesses religion. His devout Catholic mother broke down in tears. She said that after death, the rest of the family would be in heaven and he would be in hell. Bear in mind she grew up in a Country that was about 98% Catholic. I think you know where I am going with this. I will NEVER again be religious. I will remain agnostic. A Hero is able to save civilians. Just like how Jesus came to save sinners. For he was the one without sin and came to save those with sin. It makes a lot sense. Who would you trust? A random person who says that can save you from this disease or a doctor who can save you from this disease. Obviously a doctor. For us humans our disease is sin but Jesus is the doctor who can save you right now which you can read in the bible. Pray to him. There is a God and Creator, and he is real, and you are responsible to make a connection with that one God and Creator, independent of any superstitions, paganism or other garbage man can produce like religion.
