In the early 70s, a lot of Paul's (and the other Beatles') money was still tied up in litigation, getting extricated from the band, etc. He was always telling the band that once his money was freed up, Wings' members would be getting more money. But it took too long for some members, apparently. I guess a few years ago, Denny Seiwell, Wings' first drummer, told Paul it was very difficult to work for so little money. Seiwell says Paul teared up, and wrote him a very handsome check.
