Agree...no doubt the many constructive comments posted after the first three interviews had something to do with it. Here is a man that has sunk all his love, all his money and reverence back into what he values. Living and breathing it to preserve what has to be one of the greatest collections. It may feel to close too our yesterdays, but a collection that will have helped save our musical heritage. It may not have been his intention but it will help define the future of this art form. Hats off to you Joe. What we will appreciate the most is the axes on the edge of disaster that make well worn guitars, play another day. It has an untenable value as joy that we experience can’t be measured. I can only hope that when he passes, that it will be stipulated that a large portion of this collection be used again in private, in public and used in recordings of music that is yet to be penned.

It is wild to ponder how not a single earthly possesion is truly ever ours in any permanent sense. The things we own become a part of who we are--defining our interests and passions in a tangible way. But at the end of the day, none of it is coming with us. It's all left behind for future generations, to become part of who they are and what defines them. Take care of your valuable possesions while you're here, embrace the cycle.

And I’m back. And Seeing Robert Baker, RJ Ronquillio 👇 down there. just reinforces what I’ve been saying for years all us guitar players watch the same stuff. Ive watched all the episodes over and over. Cheers Gibson and Mark A.

Love when Joe was talking about the '59 Burst and says "This stuff is still out there, it's not all spoken for". Right, it WAS out there until guys like you and Seagal, Gilmore, Steve Miller, etc., and museums started hoarding it! And once these guys or a big time guitar shop gets their mitts on the stuff, it's priced hopelessly out of reach for the average guy. But I guess that's true of cars or butterflies or whatever else gets collected?

I'm just as enamoured with the ads, posters, signs and memorabilia. Guitarist like to be fans of products. The rca sign that appears in the background, how cool.

I love Joe Bonamassa. Not only is he an incredibly talented musician, but he is at heart a pure guitar lover. Not only does he play the music and make a living with them, but you can tell he just genuinely loves them. He probably feels as though they are his children.

While I've heard of him for years, I've never checked out Bonamassa's music before. That will change as soon as this video ends. Thanks to Gibson for the video and thanks to Joe for opening his home and collection up to the rest of us. His view on just being the caretaker is awesome. He seems like good people and I'm glad he calls my home state his home as well.

ya props to gibson for not being snobby about fender, they should realize they share pretty much the same audience, great to see some mutual respect . If joe did a show on guitars, I'd watch it religiously, he's a great brand ambassador for both brands.

"I traded some stuff in, like we all do." 🙄 Yeah, we do, but most of the time, we don't end up with something worth more than a couple of houses. 😄 I love Joe for his passion about these things.

Love the collection series Gibson have been doing. Beautiful guitars like these really deserve to be seen, heard and enjoyed and not simply locked up to pay someone’s retirement pension!
