The '55 hardtail strat is the most gorgeous strat I have ever seen. Something about the burst and it being a hardtail. Thanks Mark and Gibson for doing this. By far my favourite episode!

Here is a man that has sunk all his love, all his money and reverence back into what he values. Living and breathing it to preserve what has to be one of the greatest collections. It may feel to close too our yesterdays, but a collection that will have helped save our musical heritage. It may not have been his intention but it will help define the future of this art form. Hats off to you Joe. What we will appreciate the most is the axes on the edge of disaster that make well worn guitars, play another day. It has an untenable value as joy that we experience can’t be measured. I can only hope that when he passes, that it will be stipulated that a large portion of this collection be used again in private, in public and used in recordings of music that is yet to be penned.

Love when Joe was talking about the '59 Burst and says "This stuff is still out there, it's not all spoken for".
