I disagree. Putin is a watch collector. George Soros is a watch collector. Saddam Hussein was a watch collector. Che Guevara and Fidel Castro were watch collectors, the typically hypocritical leftists often wore two Rolexes at the same time. Kim Jong-il and Kim-Jong Un were/are watch collectors. And so on.

@@pistonburner6448 you gotta chill my man, yes there are bad watch collectors, but there are good watch collectors as well, and theres a lot more good than the bad.
@pistonburner64483 жыл бұрын
@@hathaway.1166 Actually I just have to respond to your nonsensical comment itself: You are wrong, as I never said there aren't good watch collectors too. The claim I responded to was simply that all watch collectors are the nicest people. I stated in response that it isn't correct to state that "all watch collectors are the nicest people", because many watch collectors are not the nicest people. I am right, and I proved that. And as to your assertion that there are a lot more good watch collectors than bad, I can theoretically disprove that too: not only crime statistics, but psychology studies of how dishonest, self-serving, thieving, corrupt people are indicates that the overwhelming majority of people are not "good". Even when measuring at the age groups where people are most "good". I'm not taking at all into account the age ranges where people tend to be so incapacitated as to not be _able_ to act "not good". Then taking to account what positions, professions, what kinds of status watch collectors have it only strengthens the numbers of them NOT being "good". Then taking into account the personality types, the drive that gets people to buy watches that even further lessens the ratio of "good" people in that group. As a very raw estimate based on very imprecise numbers, I'd say that watch collectors are at least 85% not "good" for the moral, less strict meaning of "good" as people who do bad to other people, steal, exploit, are engaged in corruption and/or benefit from corruption and so forth for their own gain at the expense of others; and at least 65% not "good" in the stricter western legal sense of the word.

That was a really good episode. Ed really seems to love his watches and seems like a really nice guy. Ben saying about the Moonwatch hits a nerve with me. I’ve always wanted one and nearly bought bought one back in 2009 when they were selling for £1600 new. I had some cash from being made redundant during the recession and was so tempted but I had to be sensible and make sure I could pay the bills. I got a job just as my redundancy pay ran out so it was ultimately the right decision but I could have then got one on interest free credit and I didn’t because it felt a bit extravagant. I thought I’d wait until for 40th and treat myself…..they had doubled in price by then and were out of my price range. I think I’ll always regret not getting one when they were £1600.
