In any case; if it does happen, I can guarantee the task will be way over budget with a lot of red tape bureaucracy along the way with the usual constant multiple delays: the time for deadlines will be pushed back many times. If the same happens when building projects like transportation infrastruture or new buildings on Earth; these problems will only multiply itself 100x for the moon - think inflation, unforeseen issues, mistakes! Someone will be making a fortune off of this one way or another. Who knows? Science facts are stranger than science fiction by not beling limited by author imagination. Won't surprise me one bit if it's already inhabited by another civilisation lightyears more advanced tban us, having technology allowing then to share the same space but in a different dimension with the ablity to move between our's and others, appearing and dissapearing when they enter and leave our dimension. Definitely not soneone we want to messs with especially if the are hostile.

Elementary, my dear scientists; Earth -Moon is a binary. Theia's collision with Earth remains made the Moon. The two are a binary system. The Moon is needed to regulate Earth's rotation, tilt, and ocean tides. Water ice is present in all the solar system. We have to preserve our magnificent Earth -Moon binary orbiting the Sun. Thanks.
