I LOVED this version! This adaptation of the Broadway Musical! I just wish more scenes from the Broadway Musical were included in this film since that's where it came from. This version tells more from the book the original source. This musical movie really shows Mister being able to redeem himself. The real winner is Alice Walker for writing such an amazing book that has sooo many stories that have yet to be scene. Not many books come close in storytelling like The Color Purple. There are sooo many more stories that can be told from this book.
