Check out Apologia studio they just had rally's for abolition of abortion in AZ and OK. I forgot the senators names. There are some run for elections on the local level to do good works for His sake. If we cannot run or elect, maybe we can chip in some change and cash to help those who are willing and can.

“Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.” -William Butler Yeats

If I can't say it in less than 9 seconds I normally don't even try anymore. The fact that you experienced a time when "liberals" could hold a thought long enough for you to expound on such a complex principle almost brings a tear to my eye...

Once you accept an idea as true, belief, everything necessary for that belief to be true must also be true. That is how theology grows. Religion is the heart of all understanding.

America has indeed fallen in love with its idols. But we have confidence that this vanity will collapse under it's own weight. Christians must become the safety net; being prepared to catch those who are fallen. And, perhaps kick a few support legs out from the bottom as well.
@willskitchen6183 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! What has happened every time a society or culture has collapsed in the last 2000 years? The Church, that target of all secular hatred, has been there, picking up the pieces, rebuilding it better than it was before. We will not be beaten because our King will not be beaten!

Excuse my ignorance, anyone understand the hard shell baptist reference?
@toddcote49043 жыл бұрын
At the very least, he's saying that those who say there is no absolute truth, are really saying, there's no absolute truth (except for mine). This parallels the "hard shell Baptist". Therefore, I think it's in regards to those sects of the Baptist that think in an "abosolute, relativistic" manner. These are the "clubs" he's talking about.
@nhislove13 жыл бұрын
This is what I feel he is saying here. I have been involved with a baptist ministry in Malawi, have been there a couple times, first for two months, then for one month. While there, I was allowed to preach anywhere I was, although my stand on what the word of God says in the operation of the believer as a believer differs somewhat from the baptist doctrine. But, when I come here to the US, htis same man that allows me to preach all over Malawi while with His ministry, will not allow me to speak in the Baptist churches here in the US. They believe in a slant that if you are not baptist, you are not really saved, and have no right to preach the word of God. That is a truth that they believe is truth, because only they understand the truth of the word of God, and if you don't agree, then your truth is not truth. You see, I still believe in the power of God operating through the church in supernatural ways, for if not, then it is nothing more than a religion with the name of Jesus tied to it. That was what made the early church so different from all other religions, and even from Judahism. It was the power and authority given to the church as a sign that they preached the truth of Jesus, that he died, but is now alive. But, I can only preach what I know God has revealed to me though the Holy Spirit from the Word of God.
