This is a game changer. Booking through the Qatar site using partner airlines from West coast USA to SE Asia and India suddenly makes Avios points valuable. Love to be able to by-pass the BA Executive Club.

Even 21k Avios for a one-hour intra-Gulf flight seems like a good deal considering that it also gives you access to the Al Safwa first-class lounge. Avios have acquired a whole lot more value with this!

BA charging the same for intra gulf flights connecting from Doha but books the ticket in Economy and not First. Something to keep in mind when flying to someplace in the Gulf

So tomorrow I'm flying to Dubai via Doha in Qatar Qsuites from Montreal and did notice my Doha to Dubai portion was in 'first' even though it seems like regular business class but it's branded that way. I started freaking out because I thought 'does that mean I get access to the first class lounge?!?' sure enough, I do but because Ramadan starts tomorrow, I won't get any alcohol sadly :/ but I'm sure the food and experience will be fantastic. I did however have to book my qsuites via Asia Miles sadly

I have 160,000 avios points with BA, I can only get a £700 discount on Premium economy seats & just over 500 quid on Business class seats on flights to Thailand, so it obviously works differently for Canadians to People living in the UK.

Ive tried searching and it shows 1120000 avios round trip for 4 people from yul-doh which is insane. How do you get the lower rates. I even dont it with just 1 person and it seems to always say 2x avios with every search. And expert flyer isnt working with qatar right now.

I need help! I have built up just over 200,000 Avion points, but from everything I have watched of yours it looks like my best bet is to start my Rewards Miles Life (I'm new to this redeeming life) would be to join Aeroplan instead of Avios. Should I spend the points that I have, make the switch over to Aeroplan and start fresh, or is there a way to get my Avion points over to Aeroplan? Couldn't link my accounts because British Airways Account has my middle name in the first name and that's messing things up. Looks like I'll need to scan my passport and send a copy to them to fix it! Make sure your Qatar account matches your BA account if you're creating it.

I usually collect points with Brutish Airways executive club, which don't really expire. I looked at star alliance and got confused as it appears they expire, unlike ba executive club, having activity extends the date by 36 months.. so is there a better way for me to earn points?
