To be honest, it's how I did that mission too. That level is brutal to face off against. I ended up building a wall first to hold enemies, then I extended it to the Nod Base entrance so the entire map was mine to pillage for Tiberium.

well that actually had a lot do with Redman Boyle. General Granger was like are you mad we just can't detonate a liquid tiberium reserve it will cause mass death and destruction across an entire yellow zone civilians still live yellow zones basically as his argument was. Then Boyle was like haha Yellow zones don't matter so do it anyways because I said and it a huge flex of my ego to get back at Kane. Kane: haha those GDI Fools played into my hands now the alien visitors will come and I will learn their secrets so I can finally get off this primitive world. Scrin: Huh I smell large Tiberium Deposit on planet near by. I am itching I need my Tiberium fix man just got to get high of that tiberium. I know they don't per say but its important to them lol.

My favourite detail that I didn't discover until years after first playing the game as a kid is that in the GDI commando mission, if you blow up the Tiberium Refinery, Nod will be totally hamstrung in the next mission, more so than if you made it to the Construction Yard

@@gnarlax2005 The mission ends when you blow up _any_ non-defense building. But the real objective is the Airstrip; if you take that out, you skip mission 7 and go straight to #8. Check the text briefing of mission 7 if you don't believe me. Heck, the mission's name in the Remaster is literally "Destroy the Airstrip".
