The Communards presentan en "Sábado Noche" su muy exitosa versión del "Don´t Leave Me This Way" (nº1 en el Reino Unido) incluida en la ópera prima del grupo, "Communards" (1986). También interpretarían "You Are My World", su single debut de 1985, que igualmente sería incluído en este disco.
Paola Bosé y Toni Cantó, presentan a este dúo británico que Jimmy Sommerville (después de dejar Bronski Beat) formaría con Richard Coles.

Recorded in the mid 80's me guesses. The band was on tour and sometimes not everyone who participated on the album was available for travel ?? Many of the recordings for TV were not live performances, sorry to say. Had the pleasure of going to Communards' concert twice. Jimmy is great live, but does not sound exactly like this, the album version.

That Jimmy has a wonderful voice, let's bring him over to Spain so he can pretend to sing that song. Maybe get four trumpeters to pretend to play their trumpets, and best break the vicar's fingers so he can't play that piano. And make sure you tell them to be as unenthusiastic as possible, maybe just sport a wry, embarrassed grin throughout.
