The new two beasts in the aviation market, each with a greater ability to fly across the world. Recently, Gulfstream released a new aircraft, the G700 series, which features cutting-edge avionics technology and a great range capacity.
Bombardier Global 7500 aircraft.
The Global 7500 aircraft stands alone as the world’s largest and longest range business jet. Within its luxurious interior are four true living spaces, a full size kitchen and a dedicated crew suite. Elevate your flight experience and discover the uninhibited freedom and tailored luxury of the Global 7500 aircraft-a new class of business jet.
Gulfstream G700 aircraft.
The Gulfstream G650 is a large business jet produced by Gulfstream Aerospace. The model is designated Gulfstream GVI in its type certificate, and may be configured to carry from 11 to 18 passengers. Gulfstream began the G650 program in 2005 and revealed it to the public in 2008. The G650 was formerly the company's largest and fastest business jet with a top speed of Mach 0.925, having been surpassed by the larger G700.

I flew Globals for 10 years and have been AOG only once, after proper troubleshooting, we were told that we could have departed anyways. Dispatch reliability is somewhat indirectly related to the extent of the DDG/MEL, don’t know how extensive the Gulfstream MEL is but this might explain some numbers. Both machine are top of the line, the differences are minute details

Since the Gulfstream 700 has not yet been certified, the performance data is preliminary and most likely somewhat conservative. It would not be surprising that they 'magically' find an extra several hundred miles in range, and better takeoff distances, so awarding the victory to the Global 7500 is quite premature (for the record, the Global 7500 range was, before certification, quoted at 7500 miles, so the extra 200 miles range now quoted is the same conservative margin to avoid the surprise of coming short and making several sales contract look *bad*)

@@khunopie9159 If you only knew. I am a former employee of Bombardier, spent over 20 years there. What I lament is the silly way they laid-off, sold-off and drove-off nearly all their competent designers. That is my issue. Bombardier does not have anyone to prepare an answer, and can only come up with silly propositions, like allowing the fuel tank to be filled a bit more, or to reach a higher speed *in a dive* (i.e. a speed that cannot be achieved flying level) for some pointless bragging value. The Global cannot be stretched anymore, Bombardier would need a clean sheet design, and they got rid of the expertise to make one.

This right here. Most people commenting here, see some numbers and don’t know how they correlate to actual flights or reliability. I’ve only been AOG in a Gulfstream twice in the last 7 years. @@rcairflr because when we were shopping for a replacement to our G450 we looked at Globals. They had multiple Globals immediately available and we could get a 7500 in 3 months. Gulfstream was 11 months out for the G650, 18 months for a G600 and estimated 3.5 years for a G700. A friend runs a flight department and after months of trying get a G600 (even used), Bombardier brought them a white tail Global 6500 in less than a week. @@danielfarrar5154 I loved the G550 , I never flew the G650 or the G500 G600 series, now I see they have the G700 and G800 which have the longest range of any corporate jet. I'm not sure what issues others were talking about, but Gulfstreams have been known for their dispatch reliability, each model is obviously different on that , but the GIV's through the G550's were always above the 98% mark .in fact from what I remember seeing right before I retired the G550 was at a 99.9% Dispatch reliability. if I'm not mistaken it still holds that credit. It's on of the most dependable Gulfstreams on the market. So many redundancy to be able to dispatch under the Minimum Equipment List ( MEL) If you're doing charter with the aircraft ,then yes " crew rest area " is mandatory. When your utilizing 3 or 4 pilots on those 12 to 14 hours legs , you have to have an approved crew rest area where one pilot can fully rest in the supine position this is required by the FAA , Even if you're doing a trip under 10 hours ( Two Pilots allowed to do Under 10 hours of flying in a 24 hour period) its also nice for the Flight Attendant to have a place to sit down instead of standing for 10 hours or sitting in the cabin with passengers As far as management companies, I was with 3 different ones , not a big fan of any of them. They're pretty much all the same . I thing they gouge the shit out of their clients ( aircraft owners) from all the crazy insane fees they charge to the way they treat their pilots which can be pretty bad , they all try to push the duty limits and rest periods with pilots. If you have a highly experienced LEAD PILOT on the aircraft a lot of that can be nipped in the ass pretty quick by the Lead pilot saying NO to a number of issues. I was a Lead on a number of Gulfstreams with different management companies . I always said I get paid to say NO to Stupid request its a freebie to say yes cause you're always a winner and the hero when you say YES but the bad guy when you say no , at least in the eyes of the management company. You have to stay on top of them, they will try to take advantage even after they give you the song and dance about safety , their ISBAO rating , their safety program and their blah blah blah and all the other BS they tell you about. The wording changes but it's all the same B.S I'm not sure if it'd be easier for an individual Owner to set up their own flight department hire some experience Pilots that have been around the block a bunch of times and run it on their own especially if the aircraft is going to be operated under FAR part 91. However if they want to have the aircraft on charter 135 operations then a management company is UNFORTUNATELY a must, unless an owner wants to go through all the BS with the FAA in getting a 12 and more Charter Certificate. Take Care Hope this helps Gary Deripaska
