In our experience, the US-spec Seychelles gains about 3 degrees C (5-6 F) per hour. I would assume that the European models would be the same, but I don't have any personal experience to confirm.

If you use it everyday ( my husband and I just ordered one - salt water) how often should you put some salt in? I thought you mentioned you add some just before you and your wife use it.

Hi Lisa, you will not be adding salt on any regular occasion because the salt does not go away. During startup, you will add the appropriate amount of salt to bring the level up to ~1,750 ppm. Unless a significant amount of water leaves the tub (taking salt with it), you will not need to add salt again until you do a drain and refill. Congratulations Brian! People find the sight and sound of the waterfall to be relaxing. It can be adjusted with the knob that is located directly below the control panel.

What are the main differences between the Makena and the Seychelles? Thanks.

The primary differences are in the size and seating layout. The seats and jetting package are similar. The Makena is 5" larger in both directions, so the footwell is larger. The Makena has the lounger across the front and one additional seat. The Seychelles moves the lounger to the side and provides a raised step/cool-down seat at the front. I like them both really well and the decision usually comes down to whether a person wants the additional space or prefers the step.

Hey Josh, thanks for another fine video! I think we found our tub with this one!! Let me ask you, can you run this tub with either salt or chlorine? We'd love to have the flexibility to try both! I've heard nightmares about salt, but I'd sure like to try it to see for ourselves.
