Technically, something "not happening" can't be a catalyst for something that does happen. In order for something to be a cause, it has to exist. It's not that it wasn't invented, it was because electronic miniaturisation never happened. It is why you can basically have a computer that fit in your pocket. But in Fallout, those innovation never happenned.

The NCR are just mentioned briefly when they are in fact have their origins in Shady Sands from the original fallout games. One thing to note is that while nuclear technology thrived, transistors didn't. Transistors are used very frequently in our world and is a very important piece of computer technology today (there are about more than 60 billion transistors in computers today) but in the Fallout world, transistors didn't really evolve and they kept using vacuum tubes (what we used to use before transistors) so you see a lot of the computers that are very old fashioned and primitive.

If you go to a concert that’s 3 days long, it doesn’t mean there will be 72 hours of music playing, just that it takes course over 3 days, probably only a couple hours a day. So sure you can hit em with the ‘aCtuaLly tHe cOncErt wAS oNlY 9 HouRs LoNg’ but it doesn’t make someone wrong for saying it lasted 3 days. that wont happen, and you wanna know why? because companies are obsessed with america being the centre of conflict and almost refuse to base one in europe for reasons i can only assume are down to pro-america anti-everyone else nonsense. maybe. that or companies just dont see americans being interested in a country that isn't their own and literally an ocean away. and its hard work and money; two things capitalist america shy away from unless forced to. the reason it wont happen with bethesda specifically? because bethesda dont even have the lore of nearly five games set straight; how tf are they gonna tie in the entirety of europe to the global war when they can barely tie together a few different states in america? they can barely figure out how to tie fallout 3 garbage fire of a story with fallout 4's messed up plot. this ignores the sheer continuity issues of fallout 76 supposedly being canon as well, along with another host of issues they keep propagating. That is not the same type of radiation as a microwave. A microwave uses non ionizing radiation which really only heats certain fluids and conductive surfaces. Atomic radiation is ionizing which destroys molecules by adding ions which messes with charges.
