The Complete Gauntlets Combos & Dodge Punishes Tutorial

A great deal of the stuff in this video is now invalid after the recent gauntlets nerf. Nair lost 4 frames of stun and recovery lost 3. This means that: - You can no longer get *any* true combos off of nair. - Strings involving [recovery > nair/dair] are no longer guaranteed when the opponent doesn't have dodge; the dodge window has increased to 10 frames, so it's easily jumped out of.

Here are 2 tips: Using Wu Shand with the dex stance you makes nair after slight true combo into gravity cancel slight, so you can so like: slight, nair gc slight and whatever after, I like to do slight nair gc slight nair ChD dair. 2nd tip: If someone spot dodges after you slight, you can gravity cancel nsig (charge it) and when the spot dodge is over , your sig will be charged, it will hit with wu shang, Kor, Cross and Val, if your gauntlet user cant punish with gc sigs, then wait untill the dodge ends and then do recovery.

At 1:25 something I have recently found out is that u can start it with a dlight, then the rest of the combo. This just gives more dmg, making it a 60+ tru combo.

No, I only pickup weapons with throw. The option you're talking about that lets you pick up with neutral attack is called "Pickup With Quick Attack," it's a terrible option and will limit you. Yes. If you're trying to reverse nair on controller, you'd have to quickly flick your thumb from one side of the dpad/analog stick to the other side. On keyboard, you don't have to do that because you can just instantly press the other direction.

A wake up is when you get hit by something then you instantly try to escape by doing something like gravity cancel nlight on sword, waking up can be good, but punishable. Don't overdo it.

Wait a couple seconds before doing the GC dlight. It helps have more persistent hits and better control, especially on controller. hope that helped!

Whenever I try to do the Dlight dair combo at 0:27, it just holds me to the ground and does a chase dodge. I am using keyboard and I see the note saying to hold down and forward, but it always turns into chase dodges. How do you guys do this combo ffs?

Don't spam the dodge button, also point your character down and forward while dodging
