I inherited a Rosemary bush with the home that we bought in 2020. Had no idea what it was other than that it smelled great! Now I know. I had accidentally let it grow gargantuan size over 3-years and so I had to really 'hard prune' it. There's still lots of green and it seems hearty enough, so it will still flourish. Thank you for the great lesson on how to prune, harvest and care for it!

How is it looking after your pruning? I have a bush that I have never pruned either (7+ years). This summer will be the first time.

Very informative. Even though I'm in the Bay Area, we've gotten some frost and a thin blanket of snow last year I will hold off on pruning my rosemary. It grew a lot in 2023 in my vegetable bed. I'll have to cut it back come spring. Thank you for the tips.

Beautiful rosemary bushes in fitting wood containers 💚 ... This species is what I love from "look" perspective, we can make it into a topiary and it will grow to look like a pine tree - I got one small 4" pot from local nursery but they did not have its name tag (so, I never knew its name). I also got the "TUSCAN BLUE" species which in my opinion has the BEST aroma/taste. Anyway, recently someone told that this rosemary is "ARP" species - thanks goodness NOW I know! 😁

Amazing growth, gives me alot of hope going forward. Any chance you could share what kind of soil you have used in those planters if you happen to use store bought? I live in northwest Florida and am struggling with getting my rosemary started, I think due to soil retaining too much moisture

Thank you for the video on this I was looking to grow tuscan blue rosemary that is what it looks like you are growing in your containers? I hope so. 😄I read they get Ginormous and I don't have the room to spare to plant them in my smaller herb garden space. OR can I grow them and take them out when they grow larger? Also have you noticed less spiders? I don't want them in my herb garden anymore and I heard rosemary keeps them away. Oh and FYI I have been reading the comments they are funny and yes you are absolutely gorgeous. Poor guys, they came for Rosemary tips and are now lovestruck awww.

Do you know why my rosemary turn brown and very woody and no grow?
@conchadeconchosАй бұрын
It’s dried up and died. Could be a lot of thing tbh. It could have gotten sick, it could have dehydrated, it could have not had have the proper soil aeration. But if it brown and no grow then it is dead and you need to cut it all the way to the ground. Leave a small them for hope it grows back. The roots may still be alivez
@kkp42979 ай бұрын
i don't consider that overgrown. bigger the better. I have not pruned my rosemary for 2.5 years since planting, and they are huge now.... 3ft tall, 6ft wide. Also, i have propagated woody stems. they grow roots just fine, and you get a headstart with growth.
