I always make 3x3x3 charcoal pit, it gives me one an a half stack of charcoal To fill up such a hole you would need 27 stacks of firewood (which is 13,5 stacks of wooden logs, specifically 216 of them) Charcoal pit of that size is the most optimal for me, anything more than that and it's too much work to be done and less than that yields too low amount of charcoal to satisfy me

It’s not made by the same people however the devs are ex-Minecraft modders. Vintage Story is better than TFC only because it’s built as a standalone so it doesn’t have the janky code. I love both TFC and VS but I do feel VS does things better in many ways.

There is no difference between Sand and Gravel for panning, there is for Bony Soil however. Bony Soil has a lot more precious metals and little treasures like candles but it's not good for copper.
