I turn 30 in a few days. My 20s has been a wild but overall pretty decent run. Unlike my "5/10 year life plan" I had at 20, I'm not yet married, I am not yet working my dream job, and I don't own a house. But I know my capabilities & limitations, am in good health, and have a solid foundation on which I can build my life moving forward. And that gives me high hopes for my 30s. If you're getting started with your 20s, just run for it, whatever that may be, but you gotta run. This is your decade for trials, successes, failures, plateaus, setbacks, breakthroughs, and everything else in between. Don't think about it too hard, and don't compare yourself to others because it's inevitably an apples to oranges comparison. Always give things your best, but don't sacrifice yourself for the sake of impressing others. I know all of this is super open-ended, but you'll start getting it over time. Enjoy your 20s!

@stenkytt45446 ай бұрын
@@justaguy-n7r Don't search for a partner at every red light or a store or school and just try to have fun while also improving yourself in every way imaginable. A partner will come at some point, but specifically searching for a partner or bettering yourself FOR mating compatibility will (in a weird way) reduce your chances of finding one. Improve for yourself. When you find someone, don't avoid those hard and awkward conversations and try to communicate without ego but at the same time trust each other. A Relationship has 2 people and it needs 2 people to hold it up. It ain't complicated but it's definitely not easy

Time to change that then. I'm 25, and I'm in a much better mental place than I was when I was turning 21. Do that consistently with others and you'll look back in a year or two and realize that you've got some great friends. And that animator career path sounds pretty dope to be honest.

my star sibling in christ, if you're 20 going on 21 i promise you you are still a little baby fetus in the grand scheme of things and it's not too late for you. at 20 i was in college and i also could not get out of bed and had zero friends in college (not an exaggeration). i then spent the early part of my 20s working way too hard at a job that made me physically not want to get out of bed every morning. start a youtube channel, write positive affirmations every morning in a journal (i plug the "thinking anew" book so much on this channel you'd think i was getting a commission or something from it lmao), animate, draw, focus on what you love, and the rest will fall into place. im not tryna be sappy or preachy here, i hope it doesn't come across that way, but a big turning point in my 20s was starting to believe in myself and believe that good things were going to happen to me instead of bad things. comparison is also so tough for me and continues to be to this day - gratefulness and appreciating that while im not the literal best, im also doing pretty okay, helps with that you got this yo, it's okay to feel sad and confused, but it's also all gonna be okay. im wishing you the best, sending you love, and i hope you have a magical rest of your day

Hey, I’m turning 21 soon too. I have actually literally done the same thing. I do have a job because now I have to pay rent but I’m an engineering student and it’s tough. I barely made a single friend in 2 years of college, I can’t talk to strangers because of my anxiety, and I suffer from adhd. It’s better than when I started college though. The only advice I can give is don’t focus too much on the past or the future, just try to enjoy the present. For me personally it just leads to spiralling. Like the man said, we’re still young and we have time to learn. Try to give yourself a chance to relax and do something you really enjoy.

I turn 25 in one month. So far, my twenties have consisted of the most violent vicious heartbreaks of my life so far, each more devastating than the last, being called old by 18 year olds despite thinking we look similar in age, some career development but mostly just a whole lot of learning how to love others and myself and maintain that. i think before i hit twenty i burned bright and fast with everything i did and couldn’t keep up the energy. i’ve learned to pace myself better, not because i can’t go faster, but because it’s a marathon. knowing when to exert your full strength in every situation is wisdom too. be nice to yourself and your friends. hopefully these next five years show me more than the last. and hopefully i find a girl… wanna talk about the roughest part. lock a good one down quick and stay loyal.

My house was burned (almost whole roof), i have alcoholic father and 3 drug and alcohol addict brothers. Only my mother gives me hope. I ended the best highschool in my city and first degree of college (I live in Poland). This gave me absoluty nothing. I worked my ass off on construction (a lot of building stuff like - roofing, bricklaying, painting etc., this at least gave me some usefull abillities). This year i found out that my younger brother is seriously ill because of metaaphetamine abusing. Finally, i said that i'm done and i'm going to army. I hope that this will eventally change something. My dream is to try something in america, so army gives me some feelings that's is real, because of my abillities, will power and knowledge. I have a lot more of bad stuff in my life but i'm still trying. Stay focus and disciplined, because that's why most of us are still alive.

One of the most important advice that stuck with me for my 20's, is to never say no 🔥 Most common case is that you'll need to go to a somewhere for a group project, even if you feel tired just say "Sure, why not". Eventually you'll be invited to increasing amount of events, just keep saying "Sure". This will build up your reputation as that guy who is readily available for events. For others 20's, you're fulfilling a high demanded position of "The guy who don't mind if you both get lost, willing to watch Human Centipede in a theater, or simpy unable to get bored with any of your events" But by the Gods, please say no to obvious peer-pressure baits like smoking, vaping or drugs. Specifically if you live in South East Asia, your family won't mind disowning you and get a new free freshly printed family card without your name straight from nearby Gov. office. 🥰🥰

Also this video is somehow really pessimistic about jobs. I used to think the same, but I really loved my job after I got it, and so do my officemates. There are plenty of people in the world who love what they do.

I turn 18 in 8 days and I have never been more tiredly anxious in my life. My senior year of high school was a mental and physical drag due to the fact that I’ve been online school since my freshman year in 2020. What I expected to be a movie like time of finding new friends, failing tests, and making new memories was me passing tests and being locked in my house 24/7. While that reality check has helped me in some ways it’s left an odd hole in my brain where I can’t tell if I’m doing the right thing in my life anymore. I know what my goal in life is is, but eventually when I lie down everyday for bed I’m consumed by a constant nagging though critiquing everything I did that day and it simply doesn’t go away. As a result, the college I’m attending is less exciting for me and more a terrifying gauntlet that will determine my future in life. I missed out on most parties in high school (if you can even call them that) so I couldn’t care less about the social scene, I never had a Girlfriend for the obvious reason so I’m entirely uninterested in romance, and I honestly don’t feel excited for anything anymore outside of the subjects I enjoy at school with the other ones bringing me as much stress as they possibly can (and they do). Consequently, I’m sitting in a dejected puddle of my own self doubt and anxiety about life to point that I struggle to find real enjoyment or happiness in everything. Games, working out, partying, and pretty much everything else all just seem like temporary illusions masking the reality of life passing me by. I don’t know if this is a normal feeling for people nearing their 20’s but everything just feels so pointless? Sure, I can get high but what does that ultimately do for me or anyone else? And, in a modern world with a modern dog water economy for young people why should I feel excited about anything? Why go partying or even buy a house when I can’t open my wallet without a fly zooming out? I’m not trying to be cynical but everything just seems so incredibly pointless or insurmountable making it hard to truly care about anything. I’m always left remembering the saying about how when your younger you wish to be an adult and when your older you wish to be a kid, and I’ve never really felt it more at this point. I don’t like being an adult and I’m already kind of done with society before I’ve ever even entered it. Not trying to be edgy, I’m just tired and done with everything.
@tc32956 ай бұрын
I’m 20 and work full time but I feel you man it’s hard out here. It’s pretty normal to feel that way especially at this age. My best advice is to stop getting high. Your mood will improve drastically.

I’m 21 and in a hole, trying to get out the confines of my bedroom is difficult but I’m starting to realise I don’t really have anything to lose other than a life I don’t want to live……I’m trying to walk in nature more and take more “risks” like streaming, it’s hard putting your face to a camera when people judge you for how you look rather than who you are. But you know what…..screw it! If it works it works, if not then so what! Take a risk and who knows, you might find yourself in a “easy” job earning enough to have a comfortable living, and to me that doesn’t sound so bad with how crazy and difficult the world is now. Keep your heads up and try to find something you enjoy to do and can get paid to do it! Thanks for this video, the comments are filling me with hope as well. Peace ✌️

And you don't know what life is truly like until you get a severe illness/disease or sustain a severe injury. I broke my back at 24 a few years ago and all my hopes and dreams are completely shattered. I will never be able to do the things I love again all over something so simple. Serious underrated advice that I wish I knew (otherwise I wouldn't be in this position) was to always lift properly, never push yourself too hard, work does not come first. It doesn't matter if you are young, you are not invincible.

Adulthood is like a blank piece of paper and ur a pen. U write on ur paper aka u choose what u do in life. When u stop writing u feel anxious cuz u see theres nothing there. U can write something and never remove it just keep writing. Some of us get writers block aka dont know what they wanna do in life. Some write to the point where their hand cramps aka ur ruining ur body trying to rush life. But at the end of the day u have the pen u can do what u want but always realize ur life will never stay within the lines there are always ups and downs

My 20’s have been the worse years of my entire life. I’m 25 I’m miserable asF and regretful, to think I’m already in my mid 20’s and in the end of December I’ll be 26 is mind blowing. I really feel like I wasted the first half of my 20’s and I feel bad because I didn’t enjoy my early 20’s and I feel like I miss out on a lot and could have done things differently. I often lie about my age and tell people I’m a year or two younger because I’m so regretful and wish I were those ages again because I did not “live” during those ages and just wish things were different. I just wanted to enjoy my 20’s but I didn’t and I’m still not so I just faced it. I be wondering if I’ll enjoy my 30’s or just find any joy in life at that😢😢😢😢😓
