I always loved the clashing attitudes of sarge and Fillmore because Fillmore is super chill and doesn’t have any type of plans or schedule whereas sarge has had his entire week planned out the previous week and still maintains some of his military standards. My favorite of their interactions is every morning where sarge plays the standard military bugle wake-up call while raising the flag and almost instantly Fillmore plays 60s hippy music at soon as the flag is raised and to me I think Fillmore does that on purpose because he knows sarge hates it and it’s his way of messing around with his friend

The thing I really like about Planes is that we learn that WWII happened in the Cars universe. Which means there was a Cars Hitler, a Cars holocaust, a Cars Pacific War, a Cars D-Day, a Cars nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a Cars Rape of Nanking, a Cars Battle of Iwo Jima... This leads to so many important questions, like: were the Cars Little Boy and Fat Man nukes sentient? Was it a suicide mission? Are ALL Cars nuclear weapons sentient? Did Tsar Bomba have a personality? What kind of car was Car Hitler? A VW? A forklift? Was there a Cars 9/11? Were the planes hijacked, or were the planes themselves radicalized?

No brain inside the car, eyes in the headlights. Celine Dephare and this convertible are the only 2 cars in this universe with no brain inside the cars cabin. We can assume Planes, Tractors, Birds(tiny planes) flys( micro cars with wings), fork lifts, blimps, ships and cranes also share the same format where the brain is located behind the eyes, in the cabin of the vehicle. The theory is that the engine, driveline, body and its components are mechanical while the rest internally is organic matter with organs and all of that. It also explains why cars can get new engine block's but they can't ever change who they are or transfer into a new chassis and body( like the Lemons who are stuck in defective chassis and bodies)

Fillmore is more than just A VW bus. He is a representation of the spirit of Route 66 legend Bob Waldmire. A great man from a time gone by. I've had the pleasure of sitting in Bob's VW (a bay rather than a split, but creative licenses must be taken) and it was an amazing experience. The stories that vehicle could tell us would blow everyone's mind.

This is the movie of my childhood and it's also introduced me to Hendrix. I was 7 when it came out. Not so long after, In the same year, my father was playing Hendrix live at Woodstock DVD. I hear the same guitar sound like the one I hear in Cars so I ran to his room. I found out it was Hendrix (I didn't pay much attention to what Fillmore said in the scene) As I think again, that also shows how iconic Hendrix is, even though it only appears in Cars for seconds, his sound is recognizable. Even for a kid. That was magic, what Hendrix did.

also how the frick a Willys jeep could tow a tank, tanks that used in the battle of the bulge are quite alot and they mostly weighed around 30 tons, like the M4 Sherman and its variants, tank destroyers from the M10, M18 and the M36, and there are light tanks that weighing around 14 tons starting the M3/M5 Stuarts to the M24 Chaffee. i repeat it's impossible for a Willys jeep to tow a tank. probably the closest thing that a jeep could tow is an M5 gun carrier, it's not a tank but a half track with a gun mounted. but yeah i think tanks also exist in the cars universe, but they haven't appeared yet. disappointment.

@Vegas Forever For me the surprise is not that there is a fanbase but rather the fanbase I encountered was very different from the autistic/special needs kid stereotype I always had in my mind. I'm a furry and a Sonic fan and am fully aware of stereotypes and prejudice towards what I like. Watching these videos and reading the comments I understand that many of these Cars fans are self aware and smart and know what they like and why they like it. The joker meme about Cars 2 being a good movie is so clever and funny and out of left field for me that it actually makes me appreciate the Cars series alot more which I already liked more than the average person.
