Something I've noticed is Hyper Zetton never really got weaker. He's always taken the power of multiple Ultraman or literal fusions to take him out for good. EDIT: I am aware Ultraman Orb's forms are Fusion Ups--that's still on paper a fusion of multiple Ultras even if the method isn't as busted as Ultraman Saga's. And yes, he got blown up by Mebius in the Absolute Conspiracy but that was while fighting an army of Ultramen, the usual rules do not apply, and I believe Mebius was using his own super mode anyway so still.

@ZeroWingrish Have you looked at the scene again, and do you understand what I'm saying? A simple Mebium Shoot "easily" took down what seemed to be a Hyper Zetton copy. Plus, Mebius attacked either before or after the Mebius-80 pair came together which invalidates your point.

Ginga using the Cosmo Miracle Beam beat Hyper Zetton. Deathscythe easily lost to hurricane slasher orb. Hyper Zetton was barely winning against Orb. Yeah, he didn’t get much weaker. Sureeeee.

Zetton may have succumbed to the New Generation Power Creep, but at least he got a consolation prize. Not many can say they are consistently the main component in the main rival's ultimate Fusion Form in Fusion Ultra Series. Orb, Geed, Z. Zetton shows up. To be fair, for Orb and Z, it's the same rival, but the point still stands.

Out of all Ultra Kaiju, Zetton has always stood out to me. His overall design feels more akin to a Seijin than any Kaiju. He doesn’t roar or make any animalistic sounds, but instead makes beeping noises while ominously saying his own name. Despite looking frail; he is quite slow, but extremely durable like a tank. And he defeats an Ultra with ZERO EFFORT.

Notes from Netflix Anime Zetton: After the Star Cluster Council’s ship was charged by Shinjiro Hayata’s Spacium Beam energy, The final Alien Zetton, Edo summons in a new Zetton to finally kill off Ultraman. Both in reputation and physically. This one now has a Clear fusion with the Kaiju Bulton. However this one was defeated by The other Ultramen with assistance from Ultrawoman Marie, along with a new version of the Rocket used to kill the original. However, Edo would soon fight Shinjiro Hayata in a Power Suit based on the Original Zetton. With a huge laser beam and other attacks. Yet this was not enough to defeat the new Ultraman, and Edo was killed. And as a small headcanon, I like to imagine these fusion Kaiju Zettons were used to Exile/kill off the Ultras.

One thing that I think makes Zetton so unique compared to other Kaiju in the Ultra series is the way he sounds. He looks like an alien, yet he sounds so robotic. Almost like a ticking time bomb. What's more, it makes him sound so ominous and even terrifying. Combined with the knowledge that the first Zetton nearly defeated the original Ultraman, his sounds are enough to make any Giant of Light freeze in fear.

Fun fact about Zett is that his suit actually reuses an unused powered up form costume to ''Ultraman The Next'' that was going to appear in the cancelled sequel to his movie. So in a weird way, Zett is actually an Ultra.

From my understanding, that the screen turned black and white when Zetton is on screen from Ultraman's perspective or I like to call it the first-person-shooter. Its a way to tell that Ultraman is dying as he watches Zetton approaching him.

Takayama explained that on February 25, 1967, Toru brought 3 monster designs to the crew: Saigo, Kira, and Z-ton (whose names were not yet determined at the time), but Saigo was dropped out by the team for budget reasons. Takayama then moved up to mold Kira (a pre-final monster) and Z-ton (final monster). But 2 days later, the team changed their minds that chapter 38 would have a rival with Kira, so they brought Saigo back in. When Kira and Z-ton had already started, Saigo was considered the last kaiju that Toru and Ryosaku do in this story. He named it Saigo, from the kanji 最後, meaning the last one .

In a certain anime if reanimated Kaiju, she was treated as the mysterious senior Kaiju of few words. Only intervening at times to help the main, main protagonist, Agira. I kind of liked that direction taken. Of course there are (probably unofficial) manga based on a similar theme, without the superhero aspect. In one, Zetton was an agent to the principal, a familiar red ball of light. This one certainly retained the mysterious aura but I think the series was cut. In another, she was an actual student who's sister was the (terribly lazy) invader, Alien Zetton. Monster Zetton had to take care of her sister (just like how the actual monster was repeatedly used as a weapon).

I don't know the behind the scenes reason fot zetton's lights shutting off, but personal theory, it was a show that Zetton had been using a lot of his stored uranium energy in thst fight and was starting to run low, hence why it didn't use its energy barrier and a few other abilities afterwards.

I kinda like the Ultraman Mebius vs Zetton battle be the fact the people were telling him to keep fighting as he does really got my adrenaline pumping. If only they did that in original series I would have really loved it.

We can see though, that in the original ultraman, the SSSP were actually quite adept at killing monsters on several occasions. Sometimes indirectly, or through assists, but more often than not, their weapons proved absolutely lethal. The freeze bomb from the comet, Ide's Spanjum menace cap (american version I think) which I thought was the absolute coolest scene when he used it on Dorako. Ide's super bazooka which was also really cool. Really, pretty much most of Ide's inventions did a lot of damage to the Kaiju. You didn't see nearly as many kills by the Earth Defence Forces of the other series nearly as much.

I recognize Ultraman, although I dont really know much about its story but after seeing all of the battles between him and Zetton its telling me one thing. Zetton can beat Ultraman, he just keeps getting jumped on before he could land the final blow.

When we were very young, my sister and I used to watch Ultraman now and then. She dubbed poor Zetton the "saggy boobs monster" the first time she saw him, a name that's stuck with me ever since whether I like it or not.

08:50 It has been claimed that Ultraman director Akio Jitsoji who has been in many episodes and often helped directing other episodes and edits without getting credited for the film, he said that Z-ton's light control box was damaged. Some voices said that the black and white photo was taken to cover up the lack of light (if you look at this BW shot, there is no light bulb on the face and chest of Z-ton. Some say it was the black and white scraps of old film because the film ran out and shooting at the end is a bit rushed. Another director, Toshihiro Iijima, was also hit by Eiji Tsuburaya shouted, "viewers saw only a moment on the TV screen. You don't have to worry about anything". Tatsuro Fukada, prop manager on set, said, he never thought that these things would be discussed when video tapes or DVDs were available a few decades later.

Adding Extra so you don't have to add the Anime Zetton. In Episode 11 of season 3, a space craft had been waiting to summon Zetton above Tokyo. After a few minutes he was finished. People we're cheering on the main Zetton to defeat the eight ultraman (bemular counts) after the main Ultraman destroyed buildings for having an illusion of the 1966 dead Zetton. When Ultraseven cut off his arm and Ultraman Jack punched the main zetton unconscious, edo appeard and turned into a small zettin and went after Shinjiro Hayata. When the small zetton faught Shinjiro Hayata, The Main Zetton woke up and continued to target tue SSSP, (JUST LIKE 1967!) Ultraman Taro, Ultraseven, Ultrawomen Marie, and Ultraman Jack used their limits to defeat the main zetton, when Edo almost killed the main Ultraman, Shinjiro upgraded and woke up with the power of the giant of light and his suit changed to look like the original Ultraman. Like Ultraman Jack, Shinjiro used the Specium Ray to defeat Edo. Surprisingly, Edo survived and returned to his season 1 and 2 form, and congratulated shinjiro for winning. Eso then faded into dust. I wonder if Zeton while being a "Space Dinosaur", might have been a biological machine construct. One taht could be constructed and modified to its opponents skill set. Thus giving us a reason for Zetton 's body looking crap, because Bat didn't have the same materials the Zetton had access to. This also gives us a reason for why some are weaker then the original and others are stronger.

Zetton's title is Space Dinosaur because the original final moster of OG Ultraman was just a generic big lizard dude, but was scrapped for Zetton. However, when changing the monster, they forgot to change the title and the name just stuck since

Finally got to watch "Shin", so I had to watch this history lesson--which was incredible!. It appears only watching the 1966 show, Netflix anime, and "Shin" prevented my image of Zetton from being sullied by the other versions, as the monster was scary/awesome in all of those media.
