He was also the general who captured Belgrade and was so impressed by the Serbian resistance that he had a memorial to the Serbian resistance erected. He then spend the rest of the war roflstomping the Romanians and Russians, during which time he won literally every medal the German army had, so the Kaiser named a ship after him. He was the most effective general on either side in WW1, with him claiming to have never been defeated in battle

So far on youtube I have seen a few people go the Pope route, the Mussolini route, and also the communist route. So I guess that leaves the democratic route(s) and the alternate fascist routes as ones that I haven't seen yet. If those are not too boring, I would think those are the ones I would prefer to see then.

By the way italy did not imbarass themselves in the second ethipian war (the one you fight in hoi4) but in the first, actually italy won the war faster than anyones expectiations

I also would like to point out that the Ethiopians largely used traditional weapons such as spears which therefore it is an embarrassment to consider that it took the Italians 1 year, 4 months, 2 weeks and 2 days to beat the Ethiopians.

@@ry_aeb again you are confusing it with the FIRST ethiopian war, during the second war ethiopia was supplied by the british, they had better rifels than the italians, and that's how warcrimes work by the, the ethiopians commited warcrimes first so the italians responded, war crimes are not mesure by their effectivness in winning a war or by how manywere committed, but by the fact they were committed or not, this is proven by the fact that the legue of nations did even try to trial anyone, and before you talk about the economic sanctions: no the sanctions were for the war itself not the war crimes

As someone that's played as he pope before he dies, don't give up ethiopia and conqueror it asap. See for some reason those advisors that push the scale towards the "Grand Council of Fascism" also push it towards the Popes power, so you can hyper speed get in control.

yes, you missed that they can only guarantee when there's 20 world tension and many other restricitons, they can't just guarantee whenever they want. Also there's new mechanics for justification, u dont get instant tension like that anymore and u get cb without justifying now as italy...

Italians having shit generals to start with balanacnes out the game actually. Cause if you grind in Ethiopia, and then go on to grind in Spain, you can grind a lv1 general to a lv4 or even 5. If the Italians start with a lv3 or 4 by the time the Spanish Civil War is done he's gonna be the biggest threat in the whole damn Europe. At that point you're gonna need the Avengers cause that's how much of a threat that guy is going to be.

But Italy didn't embrace themselves historically in the fascist invasion of ethiopia, they steam rolled the Ethiopians with almost no casualties. The controversy is that they used poison gas, not that they lost any battles or anything. You are thinking of the earlier 19th century invasion.
