Sumochkin released a positive review of Spark 3 a long time ago, where he clearly noted that he was ashamed of his old reviews of Spark 1 & 2. The review was about 70 minutes long and, as far as I remember, there are English subtitles

*OK, so couple of things: 1. The Choco mod was NOT made by SparkGem but instead somebody named Gerald Serrault who you can find here: twitter.com/Gerald_himself 2. Mr. DJ was NOT the voice actor for shopalo's sound clips, it was Lake's friend named gamebro. 3. Mr. dj did the fnf styled artworks and designed formie fark and sfarx: twitter.com/mstr_dj/status/1405785882024677380?lang=en 4. Hedge Land is the discord server, not the game engine (the engine name is called: Hedge Physics) 5. Sumochkin has changed from his old ways, since those reviews, and no longer harasses Lake. 6. The drop dash was NEVER supposed to be a thing in STEJ 1, it was a thing in Sonic ATS dx 7. The logos for the Spark mods were created by a person called FireHead da Stardroid: boosty.to/fireheadengine

Apparently I heard that the Spark the Electric Jester series practically died off which is strange because this series is awesome & well received.

The story is pretty much finished,I would love to see spark 4,but if Lake Feperd doesn't think that spark 3 needs a sequel or just doesn't wanna make it I respect that Spark 3 is a pretty good conclusion to the series

In my experience and memory while being online, the “Spark & Sonic twitter drama” could extend to a few things. Usually though, it’s stemmed by someone posting a clip of one of the Spark games, saying something along the lines of saying it’s “significant better than/absolutely superior than 3D Sonic/Sonic’s modern output” in the same smarmy way someone would do this with a random 3D Sonic fangame, which would lead to some discourse about the post. I imagine, due to people being tired of the debates and trends these posts bring along and the frequency of the “hire this man” posts in the community, it would lead to hostility between the two communities to a degree. It’s very overblown and not all that big a deal and never lasted that long. Spark fans and Sonic fans are basically the same thing, as most people who got into Spark got into it from Sonic.

With the unused music part, I remember that the boss music that you played in this video as well as an early track for F.M City was used in an early demo for the game. I remember playing the demo a lot which got me hooked on the game before its release.

Really cool video! Though you did leave out quite a few things, the major one I noticed is the absence of mentioning the fact that Unit 0 was originally supposed to be the playable character in what is now Fark's campaign. This probably explains the lesser hitpoints due to Armstrong saying that Unit 0 wasn't really that strong. There's a KZbin video showcasing it somewhere, I might actually have it saved in one of my playlists.

Didn't know most of these, the one that made me laugh was Ej cussing on the Spark 2 Demo. I say its canon he just gives off vibes where he will insult you and not feel bad about it lol This Iceberg was awesome! :D Also look Gary there I am! 27:26 xD

I never needed the magnet dash to get diamonds on any of the stages. I mean there were stages where I went back and used magnet dashes but I didn't need it, I was always able to route better or just execute things well. I think jester swipe is necessary for diamond times that don't involve the magnet dash though.

A substantial Addition would be the big Evangelion Inspiration for Spark 3. The Mecha in the Mecha Madness Boss Fight has these shoulder pads that are very reminiscent and unique to Evangelions and it has a big 2 on each of them like Eva-Unit 2. This leads to the next inspiration, the titles of Unit 1 and 2 which aren't only references to Eva 1&2 but the relation between Freom and Fark resembles the relation between Adam and the Evas/ Lilith and the Evas. Thirdly, the final Stage of Spark 3 is literally the Geofront from Evangelion. It's an underground shelter city protecting a military group from oblivion. It's design and colour scheme is very similiar. Most noticeable the big Fark tower is a pyramid just like the Nerv Headquarter and both harbour a deep, dark and weird way down where the big secret of each franchises are located. And finally Clarity's plan is just thr human instrumentality project but with virtual reality instead of soul combination. Clarity's understanding of how it would help humanity is the exact same of how Shinji thinks of it until he comes to the realization that it is not that great at all and decides to scrap it just like Fark and Spark.

Man, I've seen a lot of iceberg videos here but I hadn't come across this one, which I find pretty odd since I'm a big Spark fan. Regardless, this video was pretty great! 👍 (Also, I'm pretty sure I've seen you on the discord server myself 😕)

i think if i remember correctly wasnt there unused side stage tracks for protest prison? it was uploaded somewhere on soundcloud but it was taken down for some reason alongside that theres an apparent earlier version of the "goodbye" theme in the ending of spark 3 with a more active use of the piano notes being played i bring this up cause idk how many people know of these two tracks in particular, let alone some of the other unmentioned unused tracks in spark 3

I didn't think that English-speaking viewers were watching the Bag.... Yes, I agree with you, his negative reviews and statements on the first two parts were very offensive, especially to the creator of the game. And for those stupid jokes (especially: "FILIPPI, AND PHILIP!!!!") he is already ashamed and unpleasant himself. But now he understands what crap he said then and released a new review for the third part, where he apologizes for negative criticism towards the developer, and now he has a positive attitude towards this series of games, especially the third part.

the truth of 3 honestly turned my opinion of shelter utopia completely around, I HATED it my first attempts, after the ending though... on subsequent runs it made SO much more sense why it was so hard... also I idiotically opted to keep the "intended difficulty" which probably added to my frustration. atm trying to defeat "them" after I suffered endless dive.. do intend to try out click team after I finish learning rmmz and godot, so thx for the heads up on the absurd pricetag. wind is my favorite even in boss fights, cause sometimes mobility trumps dps, least for casual runs. still waiting my plushie...and hoping I can land job before it arrives, as I dont want irony like that....;-; laid off to save money in october
