why spiderman 3 takes place in 2005? At no point in the movie is that mentioned, only when Peter yells at Captain Stacy that 2 years ago was when Dennis Carradine died, also why would spiderman 2 take place in 2004? If spiderman 1 takes place in 2001 the second part could take place in 2003, I don't remember that in the movie there is a 2004 somewhere the amazing spiderman 2 takes place in 2014, Peter's graduation was in June, shortly after Norman Osborn dies and as seen in Oscorp, he died in 2014, Marc Webb confirmed that the events of the movie from start to finish span 1 Only one year, everything happens in the same year 2014, June Peter graduates, the rest of the movie takes place between June and July, then Gwen dies and we have a period of 5 months, ending the movie in early December 2014

Spider-Man 3 we see posters that say best musical 2005. He says that they found out about the true killer (Flint Marko) 2 years ago, which is when Peter gets upset about them only telling them this now. As for Spider-Man 2, the dates best fit in 2004. For instance, Monday, April 26th is only a Monday in 2004, not 2003. As for Amazing Spider-Man 2, that tracks.

@@Geekritique It is implied that Peter is referring to 2 years since Ben died and the police had that information, not only in the movie, in the novelization of spiderman 3 it is also implied when they point out that everything Peter has been doing for the last two years was to atone for the guilt of his great sin, for the death of Uncle Ben. good videos, a question where do you think the 4 batman movies by christopher Nolan would take place? batman begins, gotham knight, the dark knight and the dark knight rises. In the movies you see the dates of their release years, the Batman Begins newspapers cry out 2005, the Dark Knight 2008 and the Dark Knight Rises 2012. and in gotham knight there is a date that matches July 2001 and 2007. In the novels it is said that from batman begins to the dark knight rises it took 1 decade, which doesn't make much sense because of the age of gordon's children, the words of ras about the fact that Bruce spent years as batman, etc. In the manual it is said that since Bruce began his journey in batman begins until he received his new armor in the dark knight 5 years have passed which makes a lot more sense, in this same manual it is seen that the dark knight was in 2004. Where do you think everything would be located correctly?

It should also be noted that while Ralph Bohner didn’t turn out to be the Quicksilver from the Fox X-Men films, Wanda DOES recognize him as her brother in Wandavision. Maybe Wanda can somewhat sense that Ralph is mimicking a Quicksilver from another universe? We know for a fact that Agatha can see through the multiverse with the Darkhold. She definitely knew what she was doing. I’d say while the Fox X-Men stuff isn’t required watching for the MCU Multiverse right now, it definitely deserves an honorable mention.

I hope they do NOT add the FoX-Men to the MCU multi-verse. I also do not want the late '70s Spider-Man TV movies starring Nicholas Hammond to be canon nor the Incredible Hulk tv series starring Bill Bixby. I want the MCU to have a chance to get the X-Men right the same way it got Spider-Man and Hulk right. This means: A short Wolverine (hey, representation matters!), a tall goddess-like Storm who is the leader of the X-Men, and a full Phoenix saga that builds and draws us in across a dozen films similarly to the way the Infinity Saga did.

I think for a full multiversal viewing order, watching the sacred timeline up to Loki and "What If?" would be a great place to rewind and look at Peter 2, Peter 3, and Venom's timelines up to those points (and any other universes added past here, not spoiling dr strange). Then resuming with WandaVision and keeping on with the sacred timeline/MCU propper. I say this because we find that in Loki, the other universes aren't created yet, so I think it should be Captain America the first avenger up to What If? As you've presented, then Tobeys spiderman trilogy, Andrew's Spiderman duology, Venoms duology (with Morbius of course), and any other universes created past today's date. Also not true for when Venom comes to the MCU. He learned multiversal knowledge sometime after let there be carnage, and based on when the other villains came it could've been any time past that date technically

I think watching those titles after Loki makes sense, but not for the same reasons you listed. In Loki we learn that the multiverse existed before the show, but that it was simply "separated" from the Sacred Timeline, so they weren't created after Loki. Only the universes that branched out of the Sacred Timeline come after Loki. The other villains came at the moment just before they died, except for Sandman, who presumably lived out his life after Spider-Man 3 until he was brought over in 2024 (same as what happened with the others that were brought over, namely Tobey and Andrew's Spideys, and Venom).

Top tip, watch the multiverse stuff (even x men stuff and whatever other movies you want) between the two seasons of Loki. This achieves a couple things, especially if you showing the MCU to someone for the first time. One it gives a nice spot to watch this stuff, two, you get the end game 5 year “shock” and by watching multiverse stuff here you get the feeling/illusion like you haven’t seen any of the MCU for 5 years. And finally it sets up all the characters like toby and Andrew Spider-Man and x men without it being clear they will appear in the future (great for first time viewers)… all these bonuses are only really good showing someone the MCU for the first time

A few months back I got really into the mcu and timelines and found your channel after hawkeye. I loved your videos and was looking forward to this one! When I saw the upload my excitement to watch it was om par with watching mcu shows haha. I must say you did not disappoint! Doctor Strange happens during January of 2017, not December of 2016. The reason we know this is because the Ancient One says to Bruce Banner, "You're about 5 years too early."

This is great! The only thing I disagree with is the gap between Venom 2 and it's post credit scene, I think different universes have a different present day, for example: earth 1218 (Real World) is in November 2024 Earth 616/199999 is in 2026 and Venom 3 is only in 2020

It would seem near impossible to harmonize all of the discrepancies and flat-out contradictions which have crept into 15 years of MCU storytelling. I really loved the video thank you , but I have a few questions. Why is the WHIH not in the hardcannon like the one-shots? There is Peter's To-Do-List which is like a one shot on the blue ray , it is just before Far From Home It's a fun 5-6 minutes addition. For my timeline I included a separate X-Men timeline plus one other for the 97's TV show since marvel is producing a sequel for it.

Good questions! I chose to put WHIH on the secondary timeline because Marvel deleted it for some reason, so I think subconsciously I categorize it with the cancelled Marvel TV shows. I consider Peter’s To Do List to be a deleted scene, as some released versions of the film included that in it, and I don’t mention deleted scenes. As for X-Men 97, I expect it will connect to the MCU, but how or where remains a mystery. For now, I’ve left it out.

The reason Helstorm is non canon is due to the title being stripped of the Marvel named for its dark themes. Now, the show is an independent show with no connection to the MCU.

I believe morbius was filmed in 2019 which would be the reason for the 2019 dates in the movie so for me i would just ignore those and place it venom 2 as atleast then the post credit scenes of each movie would be viewed chronologically without having to jump back and forth

We’ve been waiting so long, and we received amazing content, it was worth it. I might have to come back to this comment if I disagree hope I don’t lol. Regardless thank you so much, your work is very much appreciated. Edit 1: My first one is The consultant after is A funny thing, I just imagine he got there and all that happened and then he went to the hammer after breakfast lol Edit 2: Yeah I watch Dr. Strange after Ant-Man and before Civil war but that’s because it starts before like you said. Edit 3: I like to place all the multiverse stuff after Loki instead of after No Way Home since that’s when it all opens up. Personal preference though. Edit 4: Right now I have Morbius after Carnage because the guy in Morbius even says like oh there was carnage in San Francisco. Obviously he was just saying they word but it could correlate. Edit 5: I’ve officially added Spiderverse since it was confirmed after Venom from the credits scene as well as X men and the duology of fantastic 4 (this one for Chris evans) but the reason I put X men and Fantastic 4 is because if you haven’t read comics you don’t know who those people are but they act like you do in MoM kinda so in my headcanon I’ve added those so you can learn about them. Edit 6: HELSTROM IS CANON LOL Final Edit: I am not trying to discredit Dakota at all, I love his timeline and I always use it like I mentioned above. I’m just like also obsessed with the MCU timeline so I just have my own little nitpicks and choices but this is the one I’d go with.

The producer for helstrom confirmed the show is not part of the mcu so i guess that's why they didn't include it

I have Hulk 2003 in my timeline too but that’s bc well he deserves another project and oddly enough the Incredible Hulk was originally it’s sequel before the MCU came along and the changed it to a “spiritual successor” you can look this up but basically that’s partly why I think they skip the origin and he starts in South America.

Hey, Dakota! I don’t know if you know this, but I’ve just found out that ‘One-Shot: Agent Carter’ occurs on 05/15/1946 (give or take with the year). Going off of the “recent transmissions” sheet in Peggy’s desk, it reads “05/14/1946”; Peggy states that she completed it the day prior, making the date that the short occurs: 05/15/1946 (again, give or take with the year).

This is an amazing timeline. Everything fits perfectly and makes a lot more sense. And although I do not count any non Marvel Studios TV Show like Dare Devil, Runaways, Punisher, or Agents of Shield, and will refuse to count them until confirmed, I will admit they all add in and make sense.

I always thought the other ones aren’t cannon, but agents of shield was. I mean agents of shield fits perfectly and some of the events even lead into stuff in the movies (like the hydra invasion). I guess season 6 kinda disproves it with the snap and everything, but it was supposed to End at season 5

WOW THIS WAS AMAZING!!! You always do a great work and it was worth the wait!! I just have one doubt, why Helstrom wouldn't be canon? I mean, I know that they only showed a shot of Roxxon in the first episode and that was the whole real connection to the larger MCU. But Marvel TV wanted to do a whole sobrenatural series with differents characters of the MCU (like Defenders kind of style) called "Adventure into fear" and that team would have the Helstrom siblings and the Ghost Rider of Robbie Reyes of AoS (and others characters that they never announced). So the events of the Helstrom series would have happened in the same universe (the MCU) as AoS. Sorry if you explained this before but I didn't watch it 😔

It’s all good. The show runner claimed it wasn’t in the MCU, the connections to Marvel were removed from marketing, and despite the early intentions, it was removed from canon. Even the tv canon.

Really great video, but I have one major disagreement (and a couple things I think are arguable but don't feel strongly on XD): I strongly disagree with the idea that the Morbius and Venom 2 post credits take place in 2024. As we know from the fact that basically every multiversal character from NWH comes from a different year, the multiversal spell doesn't displace you from any specific point in time. And these post credits scenes imply some passage of time, but more like a few months, not 4+ years. lol

Thanks! And here’s my reasoning: only the characters that died came from their respective years. The characters that were still alive, the two spideys and Sandman, aged appropriately, and came from, presumably, the equivalent time of 2024 in their timelines, as we know many years passed. I would assume the same logic would be true of Venom.

Dark Work is underrated. The lore is massive. It's a flat Thor film but it's a good Loki film. Loki gets an important character arc in the film and is one of the reasons he turned into a good guy in Ragnarok & beyond. #BringBackAaronAsQuicksilver

Wow.. just wow! You nailed it Dakota. The best timeline mcu video yet. Been watching this series of videos since I believe the v2. And I personally think that every Marvel tv show still canon to the movies. For the siemple fact that they showed Fisk's buttons in Hawkeye and Matt looks EXACTLY as in the Daredevil show. And well from that everything is connected as well in the shows from Loeb. Also worth mention that the official website of Marvel added the 3 seasons of Daredevil and Defenders shows before Matt's appearence in No way Home.

I personally love the Marvel TV shows and have watched many of them but I do not consider them cannon to the MCU as they cause a lot of logistical issues namely S.H.I.E.L.D. bringing in so many inhumans which were treated like mutants and items like the Darkhold being completely different in WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness.
