It's funny because x is the first reploid, and supposed to be an artificial being that resembles a true free will human. But many times x behaves like a stone cold terminator, while mega man is always a lighthearted boy with an overwhelming since of justice.

I like to think that Wily let Zero out by accident, Bass and Proto Man sacrifice themselves to weaken him and then Mega Man sacrifices himself to put Zero to sleep, then Dr Wily recovers him and you know what happens next

Mega boy X it’s Megaman- megaman x5- megaman zero collections- megaman zx and zx avant. That’s how the timeline goes depending on the choice you make at the end of 5 the airship that crashes becomes an important area on zero collections. As you know X gives up fighting and zero sealed away gets released to fight the remaining Mavericks.

It gets really dark once the Earth is destroyed several hundred years into the future by a great flood and no humans remain, only advanced reploids called Carbons that are farmed and their numbers kept in check by a system of AI known as Elders and the Master. Megaman is still a Maverick Hunter of sorts but he himself is a Maverick when he has to turn against that system when the Master, the last human alive decides he was wrong and offers Megaman the choice to rebel against the order he helped establish. I probably made it more interesting than it really is but that's my take away from the Legends series and I love it immensely.

Mega Man Legends 1 and 2 is thousands, not hundreds of years into the future after the ZX games. Also, the difference between human and reploid start to get blurry in the 25th century, which is when Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent are set in, because humans are required by law to have cybernetic implants that boost their endurance, strength and speed, and reploids are given the ability grow old and die from old age like humans.

8:13 - Wily got the idea way sooner, as he attempted to make both specialized anti-Mega Man bots on three occasions (Rockman Worlds 1, 2, & 4) and a trinity of stronger Robot Masters based on Journey to the West (Mega Man: The Wily Wars). He also tried his hand with just attacking Mega Man with another Mega Man a few times, most infamously in Rockman World 2 (which has the living epic fail himself, Quint). Sometime prior to or during Mega Man 6, Wily accidentally generated a new power source that he would later dub Bassnium and elected to just make a Mega Man of his own with the discovery. Then Wily decided to try refining this energy source some more and put it towards creating the new generation of robot kind, which would of course be Zero. Those last two tidbits came from the Bass ending for the arcade game Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters.

My first Mega Man game was an old MS-DOS port of one of the original Mega Man games (looking at the covers for the first three, Mega Man 3's cover feels right but the game didn't have Rush so it was likely one of the first two) with like EGA graphics. It was fun and I remembered it well enough to try playing some other Mega Man games when Playstation first came out. BUT it was really the Legends series that did it for me. There was just something about Mega Man Legends that I could get into more than any of the games I'd tried before that.

Then the 2nd legends game came out it went beyond just the island. However it was a disappointment that the bank you entered on Kattalox island you couldn't deposit money into. It kinda felt like Capcom ditched that idea out into the trash at the last second of the creation of the game.

I like the idea that doctor Cain was merely an archeological doctor, thats why he found X, and that robots were his hobby, so of course all the schematics and copies he created from the X blueprints were flawed and resulted in a lot of robots which were destined to become mavericks - the virus only slightly speed up the process.

What about the Zero, ZX and Legends? And if you do so, do add the fact that the further the games go in the timeline, they tend to look more and more like the world in Legends c: Since there was an interview with a Megaman dev (not sure if it was Inafune) who said that, the more it goes into the future, the more it starts to lean towards Legends, the art style, the structures, the characters etc...

.exe is a completely different timeline where instead of choosing to make advancements in Robotics, Light chose to go into the internet business. People survived in this timeline and humanity was not wiped out and plagued by robot wars. Dr Light even had a kid and his descendants live to this day. The original robot timeline did not do so good.

I love the video! Ah, Mega Man will always be my favorite gaming franchise for its simple yet tight controls, beautiful presentation, and amazing soundtracks. "Dr. Light made little to effort to find him," Erm... you're giving it pretty hard to Dr. Light here. Its Proto Man. If he doesn't want you to find him, you aren't going to find him! Plus, don't you think that Dr. Light might have been respecting Blues's choice to live apart from him, waiting for him to come back on his own rather than forcing him back? Edit: Hahah! Boba Fett wishes he had Vile's weapons load-out. He has flamethrowers and incendiary explosive launchers in his knees and machine guns in his fingers! Not to mention his durability and physical strength!

A mega Man X movie did come out. But it was only a backstory movie to the main central characters leading up to Sigma becoming evil. Plus there was a cartoon series back in the early 90s I believe which had MegaMan and MegaMan X team up against Vile.

I always find it funny when people think the robot masters are just, gone after the events of the game. pretty much all of them get repaired and brought back to the good side after the games, not only is this shown in basicly every form of mega man media (except the ruby spears cartoon of course) but even in the games, in mega man 7, we can see Cutman and gutsman in the newspaper of the intro cutscene, seeming to be running there own interview, or show, or something like that.

OKAY! I just gonna take a moment to explain that Blues ran away because the procedure to repair his faulty power core risked completely deleting his personality, in essence killing him, and Light didn’t force the procedure out of respect for his son’s wishes. He didn’t want to risk killing Blues either. Wily didn’t care and forced the upgrades with complete disregard for Blues’ sense of being, and even then deliberately gave him another faulty power core. Light lets Blues live as he wishes because that’s what he designed him for: simply “Be”. Light never abandoned Blues; in fact, he keeps the door wide open and reiterates time and time again that he’s welcome back whenever he wants, even if it’s just to visit. Proto Man isn’t an angsty teen, save for his short stint as Break Man, he’s acting out of self-preservation, something I’m sure everyone reading this would do also. Show him some respect.

I know i shouldn't mention this but, Zero wasn't just a Reploid(Wily Robot Master)that was skilled in combat, he had emotions long enough and actually fell in love with a reploid. You know who i mean,Iris,the kind-hearted navigator of Zero during Xtreme 2 and X4 until during X4.......i'd rather not elaborate further, all i'm going to say is... She's one of a few characters in video games who didn't deserve their fate in their game. The list including Iris(X4),Iris.EXE(Battle Network 6),Aerith(FFVII) and Mipha(BOTW)

Ahhh the Megaman games I grew up playing. Well at least Megaman 1-8 on the NES & SNES and MegamanX to Megaman X6 on SNES & Playstation. Wait Roll was first mentioned and seen in Mega Man 4 (unless she was introduced in the original in Japan). Btw Proto Man wasn't on Wiley's side in Megaman 3 (unless that was a change in Japan). Include Cyberelves. They're technically derived from Zero's Maverick Code which would make them Wily's grandchildren, and you left out MMX2's Black Zero and MMX6's High Max and Nightmare Zero.

Ha, aha, but you forgot to mention that Roll is pretty broken in any MegaMan game she's playable in. EDIT: Oh, right, you said no .EXE, but Roll Soul was so broken, it's often banned in competitive play. The only other thing in the series ever banned in the .EXE games was Folderback as far as I can remember.

Flaws: -In MM3, he isn't actually evil; Wily made an evil copy of him. -Rush can also turn Megaman in Super Megaman in MM6, not only 7.

Ok I assume your talking about proto man but Dr.Wily did not make a copy of him and that's not the super adapter in mega man 6 I think you need to brush up on mega man a bit.
