This would've been a crazy fact. Fact: Yusuke Murata, the artist of the One Punch Man manga, had submitted two Robot Masters to Capcom when he was a child. Both of them made it in to the go final cut of 2 separate Mega Man games. Dust Man in Mega Man 4 AND Crystal Man in Mega Man 5 :)

I've done my fair share of recording and editing myself and I can't imagine a scenario where that's efficient or even effective (like why make multiple recordings for each byte and then edit them together when you can just make one recording and skip the splicing?)

It is fairly story heavy, but I think after the introduction the game really gets moving, I may not be as bothered because I actually really enjoy the story in the series, MMSF1 has my favorite story in any Mega Man game easily, It's got a ton of heart, characters have depth, and actually develop, It can be surprisingly dark but never to the point of losing sight of itself, and has a genuinely strong overarching theme, I have a ton of respect for it that this brief summary could never truly describe. Which Star Force did you play? I feel 2 and 3 are a bit better at pacing than the first one is. the most I can tell you is just to stick with it, it'll pick up eventually.

Mega Man 5 wasn't banned in Vietnam at all. It never got a release there because of the same reasons Mega Man 6 didn't come out in Europe. There wasn't much demand for the series in that particular region, many other countries didn't get Mega Man 5 either such as England, Australia and Italy. It's got nothing to do with war stuff, just low sales.
