I am so impressed with your run of the Submerged Castle. From not having bulbmin for floor 4 and using bomb rocks to get rid of the poison and no deaths for the entire dungeon is incredible. Also seeing how you approach bosses like using the little passage ways in the Frontier Cavern’s Empress Bulblax and not just standing in front of her was something. Also the entire video was pretty funny so great job on it.

Yeah, I did eventually figure out they were a thing because of my discord. I went into pikmin 2 blind however, so I didn't know which caves they were in. I also wanted max pikmin strength each time, so I had 100. It was a perfect storm.

Yeah unfortunately you pretty much either have to know which caves they appear in or be bad enough to lose multiple pikmin in order to use them.

"Loosing so few pikmin" dude he obviously reset when shit went south. Example A when the firey blowhog sent his pikming flying off the map, started with 95, then went to 80, then back to 95 in the next clip. He obviously either knows the game or looked things up. Once again for example how did he know to just bring red pikmin to the fiery bulblax before getting yellows? It's blatantly obviousl either he studied the layout or just cut the first takes which we would love to see

@TheRealMango. I said during the series that I reset multiple times. There was never a claim to have gotten on the first try all the time. I also promise that every first take wasn't perfect. I kept as many in as I could. Some of them weren't funny. Some weren't really clear on what happened. The only things I knew about Pikmin 2 came from the comment section of my Pikmin 1 video and from the discord.

Pikmin 2 is my favourite, I had and still have Pikmin 2 for the Wii and it was a huge part of my childhood. I could never complete the game and loved trying, but I was also really scared of this game?.. The atmosphere, the responsibility of all the Pikmin, and how dangerous everything is made me terrified to play it (I didn't know what resetting was). I actually had nightmares where I was Olimar and wandering around in my house after the extinction of humanity... Another random thing; there is this weird "bootleg" movie that has an extremely similar aesthetic to Pikmin 2. It's called The Ugly Duckling and Me and I watched it as lot as a kid, pretty sure I envisioned them as the same world because the aesthetics are so similar. I hope this helps engagement a bit more, but there's my nostalgic ramble about the game.

Pikmin 2 is also my fav. So many good memories growing up playing it with my dad and us taking turns with different sections. But Holy shit was I scared too of the game, I never beat it (the endgame boss and later game dungeons spooked me too much to even try lol) I never had nightmares of it though. Which I can't imagine were very fun for you 😅

Also the bluborbs with leafs in dungeons are if you don’t have 100 pikmin and kill the leaf blubborb it’s followed by smaller versions and If you call them they are dungeon exclusive pikmin called bulbmin that are immune to everything in the game

I don't know if you know already nor do I know if you will see this, but yes, the devs did reuse the maps from Pikmin 1. Wistful Wild is a mix of The Impact Site and The Final Trial. Also, I loved this video so much, seriously.

Btw those weird creatures that came out of the egg can be killed for a ton of nectar. It's best to use purple pikmin because they're immune to fear, home in on a target when ground pounding, and deal some sort of splash damage.

Fun fact, the globe hemisphere that you find; it's localised so that the game region is facing you when you first see it. So european copies of the game have Europe front, ect.

If you plan to play Pikmin 3 and 4, I highly suggest to 100% those games, it doesn't take much longer than to finish them usually and it's really worth it. I also suggest you play Pikmin 3 Deluxe, as it has a bit more content (I don't suggest to 100% Hey Pikmin, as it is a pain) Also, seeing a player go blind into Pikmin 2 was amazing, thank you for this
