Hi Pedro, great review as usual. I bought the Specialita more than 18 months ago, so the xl wasn't available. All I can say is I never looked back. It's such an awesome grinder. Yes, possibly I'd get the xl today, but I have no intention of upgrading. There are also countless customisations available like single dose bellows, and smaller dark hoppers, funnels and holders along with dosing cups and even angled bases to make it appear like the Oro single dose. The plastic hopper on this grinder cracked when I accidentally dropped it, so I am using a smaller one that doesn't allow light in, so it solves my issue. I couldn't recommend the Mignon for home use highly enough. The coffee it produces is sublime.

Liked reading your post, and glad you're happy with the Specialita :) The Eureka Specialita is awesome, XL is a little better yet not worlds apart. If you were ordering now I would suggest XL, but seeing you already have the Specialita wouldn't suggest the upgrade. The little extras are awesome, might do a video on them at some point!

Nice comparison video, a little audio mastering can be better and the Silienzo have a 50mm burr.

I agree, the Audio :( it's been a constant struggle, yet working on it. We are getting room sound treated. It's actually at the Coffee Parts warehouse so it's a little difficult with forklifts running below, packing machines, trucks outside, etc... Yet in the next few weeks should get better. Just looked up the Silienzo and you're right, it's 50mm... Arhhh I wish you could edit posted videos...

I have the Oro. It's had a bit of a bumpy ride as far as reviews go and it took a couple of weeks to season the burrs, but it's now completely consistent in results. Perfect for me.

In your opinion, is there much difference in grinding quality between a Eureka Mignon Specialità and a Perfetto? Does 5mm flat burrs make a decisive difference? Thank you!

The Siliva has the 18 gram basket. Will the Specialita match ok with a mid-high end domestic machine, or should I go with the XL? Thanks Andrew

So many ways to answer this question... The Eureka XL is better than the Specialita, yet that's not to say the Specialita isn't awesome. It's super easy in coffee, to go down a rabbit hole and chase better and better gear. If budget isn't too much of an issue, go the XL it will def be more fitting especially if you are drinking non-milk-based coffee. But if budget is a consideration, then the Specialita represents excellent value, and I'm sure you would be happy with the results too. There is also a whole bunch of things other than grinding that can improve the process like coffee storage, puck preparation etc. So you can still chase results at a lower cost. Hope this helps.

Each has trade-offs. Libra has grind by weight, while Eureka XL has 65 ml burrs (vs 55 in the Libra).

Would depend on which Eureka, in saying that they are quite different.. The build on the Eureka is nicer, and if comparing the Eureka to Niche I would look at the XL.. Yet as it conical versus flat burr, and single dose versus grind on demand, its a hard comparison... Personally, for daily use, I like the Eureka XL as the build is nice and workflow is easy.

What about the Eureka Mignion Zero ? I am between the One (Single dose) and the SpecialitaIs and I really don\t know which one will be more low-retention grinder. it worth it for us that do 2 espresso shots per day ? Thanks for the video Right now I'm using the sage smart grinder pro with Lelit Grace and so far I'm okay with the setup But thought about upgrading the grinder, the only thing what makes me unsure, is the step less adjustment. Is it hard to dial in step less as a non pro barista?

I have Eureka Specialita paired with Lelit Bianca, based on your recommendation I see I should've went with Eureka XL, have you tried them side by side and noticed any difference in taste? I've been using this grinder for a year all I can say it's a solid grinder, timer dosing is accurate, it's quiet, grind level is stable but I don't have anything to compare it to, it's my first setup, so maybe I would've been happy with any grinder, and I'm not sure what I'm missing out compared to for example Eureka Atom, XL, Niche zero or etc. and if it's worth it to upgrade.

My opinion is that you have a very good set up. Specialitá gives very nice texture and enough clarity. Clarity is what you might be missing. But that would be up to another different grinder than these ones. Specialitá might bring more clarity than niche...? Maybe. Does someone else have a different opinion or complement?

I hear you. The Mignon Libra and a few others were shown just now at The World of Coffee and we are getting one in to review, along with a few other models, and the Hand Grinder Baby. Yet they are a while away from public sale in Australia (where we are). We did this video as our customer service team asked for it. They get a lot of enquiries about the Eureka range, so we decided to film and publish this video, a long with a video on each of the grinders (which will come out soon). Def excited for all the new products tho :)

Thank you, was common comment on videos (that and music too loud) yet feel newer videos have improved. Has been tricky as we film in an industrial estate (where the coffee parts warehouse is) so does pick up noise from our forklifts, packing machines etc... Yet studio has been getting better lately :)
