@@AmyraCarter Fair point; I always thought that the story could have been told just as well if Mindy were male or, alternatively, if Mindy were a lesbian with a female protagonist. Probably did it this way to save money on the voice acting, to not have to have all the actors record separate lines for a scenario with a female protagonist. Women can and should skate too; my comment was more appreciating the fact that Mindy has agency and good ideas and isn't just written solely as a love interest.

​@@redactedname247 Indeed, that would make sense, given that from what I understand, the game was over budget on release due to a lot of new stuff added, among other things, but even still, it's likely, very likely to not be the whole reason, and honestly, Mindy herself could easily have been the main protagonist, given the level of aid she gives the MC, among other things she does. One more thing to note; there is code in the game for a female story character. Modding in the model will allow one to play as the female, but not everything is optimized. In the shops, the model goes into a T-pose, but one can still buy the small variety of clothing and hair and such. I don't know how far one could progress because I only saw what someone else had done in a discord discussion, but it was still cool to see that it could possibly be done, maybe. To be fair, the female model looks awesome on the BMX...

@@AmyraCarter Thank you for providing that additional insight re: the female character being in the game files; I had no idea about that! Definitely seems like they were thinking about it and didn't actually go through with the plan. Based on Mindy planning out the Ranch, could have been fun to get a sequel to THAW mapped out like Proving Ground where Mindy is the "rigger" storyline (and she also skates the stuff she builds).
