The universe hasn't been rebooted in the sense of it being a clean slate, and to make that point abundantly clear, allow me to present you with the following information. Producer Di Bonaventura stated on them being on Earth in the 80's; ///But producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura is keen to stress that Bumblebee doesn’t contradict any of the Transformers films that have come before. “Someone described Bumblebee to me as, ‘99% prequel, 1% not’. I was like, ‘What was the 1%?’ He said, ‘It is the scene where Optimus and all the other guys come to Earth at the end.’” “I was like, ‘That doesn’t contradict anything we have said before. Who is to say they haven’t been around Robots In Disguise since then.’” But while this sequence was always bound to cause a little controversy, Di Bonaventura was adamant that it be included for a very important reason. “That scene was always imagined but in many different versions. We didn’t do that scene until we’d shot the movie. Because we felt the movie was going to dictate that scene a little bit. What happened is that you got to see Haliee return to her family. Bumblebee needs to return to his family. Otherwise what happened to poor Bumblebee? That was our thinking.” “Plus Optimus said we are going to go to Earth. We are gonna regroup. And then we are gonna go back. In our minds they went back out. It had nothing to do with the other films, and was completely about the emotional journey of Bumblebee.”/// Megatron was excluded because they wanted to maintain continuity with the previous films, and they even planned the following scene according to director Travis Knight; ///“We even caught a glimpse of him in the outside the war room, where the Sector 7 guys are wondering what they should do with these Decepticons. There were a couple shots were we just caught a fleeting glimpse of a frozen Megatron in the background.” But then the filmmakers began to worry about too much mythology overwhelming the casual fans. The IDW tie-in fiction (which is now out of date and no longer fits into the continuity due to contradictions with the new-ish AOE and TLK continuity plot points that had been established) did quite a bit of that also, from the missile crisis in Cuba to other lesser known disasters that took place in Russia and so on. I recommend checking those comics out, they are a great read and tie in nicely with the original 3 films, and help explain away certain continuity errors or reasons why the artwork for certain characters in earlier comics doesn't match up with the films (Shockwave's appearance for example) or why Dino and Que look different and no longer go by Mirage and Wheeljack respectively.

Or what was Lord Folgan smoking in his pipe. Or why there was a bake sale with hash brownies. Or where did Sharsky and Fassbinder actually sleep if their room was full of kitten calendars and computers and a mountain dew machine, and why were the dorm rooms joined? Or if Graham actaully saved his cousin's video game. Or why did Judy's voice and accent change during the discussion about Mojo's feminine house. So many small things left unanswered. I know it's typically a result of improv from the actors because Michael Bay loves improv dialogue in his films, and I'd say that's where the cringey humor and awkward jokes stem from every now and then. I love picking these movies apart, it's all fun and games, but they are great action flicks. xD

The Last Knight nearly killed the Transformers film franchise. It had a bad critical response with an even worst box office performance. Cause Paramount and Hasbro to lose over $100 million dollars. They decided to give Transformers a fresh restart. They couldn't move forward with the plans for a Transformers reboot nor future Transformers movies until the critical and financial results of Bumblebee were in. Bumblebee was released with positive reviews from critics, Bumblebee has a approval rating on rotten tomatoes at 92% certified fresh and it didn't do well at the American box office and got box office earnings at international box office and grossed $468 million dollars. Back in February 2019 Bumblebee was confirmed as a new story telling universe in other words a reboot. Are you letting Lorenzo di Bonaventura's confused interview posion what has been confirmed as Reboot?

The Last Knight was not a success. Bumblebee was a success, if they sticked with the original opening where Bumblebee was not on cybertron but on earth since the 1940's but in 1987 hiding in a forest which is now a deleted scene it would have been a prequel to the 2007 film.

Thanks for supporting Bayverse when no one isn't. These movies are epic and extremely well made. The score is a blessing many franchises wish they had (as evidenced by Marvel constantly using Transformers temp tracks throughout). I'm sure we're going to get another Bayverse movie even If its a little different. The Last Knight screwed p the timeline with the history. I wish that film had done what End Game did and "tore a hole in our dimension", this explaining why there was a BumbleBee or a version of him on earth so long ago. That would have solved the messy timeline in TLK. I hope we do see Bay Prime in action soon. Travis Knight and Christina Hodson's BumbleBee was a hollow movie in my opinion and having watched that film thrice with the sole intention of liking it, I'd place it on the bottom of the heap along with TLK, with TLK having the upper hand because it had memorable scenes and a damn fine score.

In The Last Knight, when Merlin mentioned about Cybertron being destroyed to the Knights of Iacon, he most likely meant their world fell to chaos and that the peace/order of the planet was destroyed because of the Cybertronian war. Because of the conflict, it made Cybertron become more uninhabitable over time.

I'm not sure if you plan on answering this in your Quintessa video, but I would also be interested to hear if you think similarly Lockdown was working specifically for Quintessa with potential other creator figures either manufactured by her or if you think she is the pawn and the real creators are hiding somewhere using Quintessa as a prop and Lockdown met the real creators. I lean increasingly towards that Quintessa was A creator, but not THE creator for the significance and power she displayed in the last knight and it is likely that somehow either between fighting unicron or the knights of iacon/cybertron the majority of her fellow creators were killed, and that more secrets towards the truth of the creators lie in Lockdowns ship. Bay himself said that Lockdowns vessel contained many secrets that would be very important for the next several films, and I'm inclined to think that if we do get a follow up to tlk then a major plot point will come to light in the ship now that it is under the autobots control.

Hm that’s a very good point and is probably a continuity error on Sam’s birthday. There was also another birthday listed as October 1990, which would make things a little better. Sam could have finished 10th in May 2007 at 15 then finished 12th grade in May 2009 at 17 then go to Princeton in September 2009 and he would have 18. But if he were born in September 1991 he couldn't got a car in May 2007 because he would be 15 and not 16 yet How do you know how much time he spent in Princeton? It could be 3 years, no? Sam could have been killed during the ambush in Mexico between the 3 and the 4 then Optimus had to hide.

In TLK the humans are not treating Decepticons as good guys, they are still treating them with Caution. Bumblebee is canon. It’s a prequel/spinoff film taken place 20 years before the first Transformers. Bumblebee 2 can still have a lot that can happen which has it lead up to the 2007 film. The film will most likely have this story. The Autobots are settling their new base on earth and they have to deal with another Decepticon/Sector 7 threat. By the middle of the movie, the Autobots learn about an ancient artifact called the Allspark and the map to find it on earth was printed on the lens of a human’s glasses many years ago.Bumblebee is left behind while the rest of the Autobots fly back to Cybertron to continue fighting the war against the Decepticons. Before they leave, Optimus orders Bumblebee to search for a person by the name of Witwicky. And that is when the credits roll. Now for anyone who will comment on my comment, I am aware that last February, Hasbro announced that this film is “the start of a new storytelling universe.” This can be referring to a reboot. However, there is still a possibility that they don’t literally mean that.The story for Bumblebee is a lot different compared to previous installments. It’s a lot more well received by both critics and audience. That most likely could be why Hasbro made that statement in quotes. Think about it. Why do you think news articles continue calling Bumblebee a prequel/spinoff to the live-action Transformers series? Why is it still being marketed as a prequel/spinoff?

R(-_J-) I’m glad someone agrees with me. Funny story, in another video, I made a comment about Bumblebee being a prequel/spinoff and how it’s “the start of a new storytelling universe”. This person commented back to me stating the film is a reboot and that “a new storytelling universe” is a fancy way of saying reboot. He shows me an article to prove it and his own article he shared even said Bumblebee is a prequel/spinoff LOL!

Because Optimus said "we will regroup, rebuild, & retake, our home, but we must find refuge first." Meaning that they are probably going to search for the Allspark in Bee 2, but have no use, so Bumblebee remains on Earth to wait for Sam to grow up until he is ready

Sorry to disagree. Bumblebee was declared as a reboot back in February 2019. It was originally developed as a prequel to the 2007 film but it's not a prequel to the 2007 film anymore

Austin Michael if this film was truly declared a “reboot” then can you explain why news articles continue to call Bumblebee a prequel/spinoff and why it’s still being sold as one? For example, when it was just released on dvd, it was part of a dvd boxset with the other Transformers films. Does it say “every live-action version” on it? No it literally says “Transformers 1-5 and the prequel Bumblebee.” If Bumblebee truly is a reboot, then Hasbro wouldn’t be selling the films that way after saying the film is “the start of a new storytelling universe.”

As Optimus said to Megatron in Transformers prime: "Do not believe everything you read!" Well I agree with that, because the Bayverse timeline has some mistake, for example the beginning of the TF5... The battle with Merlin and Dragonstorm was in 484, but when we see Optimus in space it was 1600 years later!!! 484 + 1600 = 2084 It's a HUGE timeline error because Cade should be too old in 2084, actually he should be dead!!! But in TF5 he is not much older compared to his age in TF4!!! And that's just one of many timeline mistakes!!!

The 1600 was never meant to be exact. Just like if we said something took place a hundred years ago, it could take place 103 years ago. It’s a rough estimate, which is actually clever because it doesn’t box them into a specific year.

i knew transformers armada and the next thing i seen in my life after that was the bay verse so i in a way grew up with the bay-verse rather the what came before anyway i have to say all though the critics are quite hard on it i think the bay-verse series of transformer films were great the firs one was the most appealing to me is because it is almost believable the tie ins with real landmarks the space footagte it is a shame it has gone this way as i rember wanting more after the first film
