I know it’s not much, but I always loved the scene in static shock where he met Batman. Static asks where robin was and Batman says “he’s with the titans know”. As they were both airing around the same time. I think things like that really helped give the illusion that yes,they are all in the same shared universe. Even that slight respect or reference goes a long way.

6:54:02 I think Teen Titans did their world expansion beautifully. They took their time to really.build these characters up to stand on their own, so when they finally started taking the back seat or seeing them work together with new heroes it really feels good cause we took the time to REALLY understand these characters. I have felt that for a lot of modern superhero content they expand the world so fast and far that it never really gets the small world vibe that early teen titans give us and the expanded world never feels fully filled because they never laid the groundwork.

The part where the Titans' reaction on Starfire and Silky eating that goop at the end of "Can I Keep Him?" got me laughing. _Teen Titans_ isn't afraid of having off-the-wall humor that balances the dark action-pack tone.

Here's my opinion on the ending: it wraps everything up nicely, almost all of the store lines throughout the series are resolved, but it still feels like there is more for the Titans to do. the show ended but we can imagine and dream more adventures for them. They don't go there separate ways in the end, they are still a team, they will continue to have these adventures.

The ending of the show will always crush me. That was such a tough ending to watch as a kid. I would have loved for it to end on a more positive note. The series, as a whole, was amazing and so well done, BUT, I think the ending just wasn't right. I get the depth of it, that Tera wasn't meant to be a Titan and felt like she never fit in with them, and deserved to live a normal life. I just don't think that was the right way to end it; with a heartbroken Beast Boy

4:18:42 the ultimate proof that Starfire's people can withstand hostile conditions is how much she can tolerate this bigot without punching him in the face Not gunna lie I see so much of myself in Starfire here- I am very much the type to still value life even if that life is of those who want me dead. Even more so because she isn't just passive either- while she still saves the bigot's life she also speaks her mind and gets quite a few remarks in about his behavior. I always related to Starfire's bubbly and happy personality but this episode is when I related to her moral compass more than any other episode

If you DO go through Teen Titan Go, I'd say look for a curated list of notable episodes. It seems like most of it is VERY much a goofy comedy show for little kids, but sometimes they sneak in some episodes that get a little meta that might be fun for a fan to see.
@phannectionsextremetierexe2 ай бұрын
I loved the episode about Robin and the Slade "Apparition" as a kid as I was unknowingly having bouts of psychosis myself. It was an accessible way to learn that "sometimes, your mind shows you images of your trauma that aren't really there" as a child, but it was also handled quite well for an early 2000s piece of writing. Those fits of anger you have while in a delusion, or the meltdowns/panic attacks that it can cause can be very violent and terrifying, even though you're the one harming your own body. The use of the dust, directly after an episode about "microscopic things can cause outward damage if ingested/inhaled/downloaded" also grounded the plot to the story in a nice way- the world building keeps Deathstroke's mask and dust from being just a macguffin. Even though I've watched the show over and over and have an understanding that Slade remains a threat in the later seasons, seeing that episode in somewhat isolation helped me realize why people acted so weird about the things that were real only to me. Those nights where you suddenly think your friends or pets are replaced with clones are terrifying, as are the voices that are definitely in the same room as you but that only you can hear- but Robin was brave enough to handle it, and he was able to rely on his team at the end of the day, and as a kid, that's what I needed to see. Also, insert "realistic depiction of an anxiety attack in animation" meme here. If the show ever gets a more serious reboot, I'd love to see how they handle this side of Robin's character- hopefully, it'll have even more tact and research than the OG. And also, hopefully will be in comic form. After TTG, I kindof want the character licenses to be withheld from showing up in animation for a while lol

One of my favorite headcannons for the og teen titans shows are that it takes place in the same universe as The Batman (2003) because of the similar art style and the fact that their world feels so similar to that world (maybe being a prequel) and the fact what I personally believe Red X could’ve been Grant Wilson (Son of Slade Wilson) Of course a lot of people believe it’s Jason but personally having the character being the son of the villain would’ve been super interesting. Again guess we’ll never know. Honestly this series was amazing and it is impressive it going on for as long as it did, while I truly think Teen titans go (the show) is a plague to the tv network, I do admit I am impressed that these characters are technically still around. Maybe someday we’ll be able to continue the OG show. But who knows, I’m still happy we got it in general.

To this day I think Teen Titans version of Slade(aka Deathstroke) is still the best version of the character. Minimalistic simple design, always taken seriously, constantly used without feeling over used, a sense of humor(bot common in villians) that when mixed with his monotone voice is just terrifying, and any time hes fighting them hes either toying with them, doing it for funsies , or really making them work for that win. To top it all off, anytime he loses it doesnt feel like he lost, since 99% of the time he had plans for if he lost. And then he got magic demon powers and just became so much more of a beautiful nightmare
