I'd like you to cover the 1954 World Cup, as it was probably the most entertaining given how attacking-minded it was and since it's the 70th anniversary. Also Bulgaria's run to the 1994 World Cup semi-finals. Even qualifying was a big deal; they needed to win their final game against France to go through, and they did, with a last minute winner in Paris.

This was the first international tournament that I felt lukewarm towards. I'm usually into these tournaments. I would say I only saw about half the goals in this tournament. Most matches were dull, overly tactical, often 0-0 at half time, and with teams playing not to lose rather than to try and win. Usually there are stand-out matches, but I couldn't name you any from this tournament that I feel passionate about. It doesn't help when you have a super negative team like England (who I support) make it to the final with their bland style of play and frankly high levels of luck. I would have preferred a Germany-Spain final. It's a shame that the draw was so lopsided. Other than that, I really enjoyed your coverage throughout!

@@dj71162 Yeah after a lively start the tournament certainly ebbed away. England was incredibly disappointing. I wasn't even upset when we lost because of how little we deserved to win. Appreciate your kind words!

Spain were my pick for months. They had a good team but for me Rodri was the key man - the lynchpin in the whole thing and with 2 amazing club seasons behind him too - 1 defeat in 75 he's played, my goodness! Tonight he should be winning the Ballon D'or but probably won't.

I’m sad and nostalgic already, was looking forward to this one for so long! Went to the first week and then the final. Not sure we will see a tournament in one country again?

@@LJ-nx8we I think the experience if you went out there was far different to watching from home. I was also out for the first 5 days and loved it, but it was certainly less entertaining from home. I've been thinking about future hosts and I think unless we see a return to the international scene from Russia, it's unlikely we'll see many single hosts anytime soon.
