Fabrica is difficult to explain because it has never been static. Over the years, it has continually reinvented itself, with each new director bringing their own vision to the space. The documentary highlights the constant evolution of this cultural laboratory, a place that has adapted to new creative movements while fostering collaboration across diverse disciplines.
Fabrica has provided 800 individuals the opportunity to experiment freely during a year-long residency, and for most of them, it has been a life-changing experience. But beyond the creativity and beauty of this place, I wanted to explore the contradictions that also existed here. Fabrica has not always been a place of absolute harmony; it has been a space of tensions, challenges, and triumphs.Fabrica changed the world of creativity in many ways and the lives of most of its residents, almost like a fairytale.
