My goodness, that bench is probably my favorite so far. Until I watch your next video. Just beautiful and relaxing area you have created. Fish and turtle watching, feeding is nice. I am sure you and your wife enjoy that moment of peace and connecting with nature. Reminds me of a fancy place you pay to visit.

This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. You have your own little peace of paradise for you and your family to enjoy. I 've stumbled across your videos as I was looking for ways to improve my sloped garden with some type of faux rock display , etc. I personally never have worked with concrete but after watching a few of your videos thus far - I'm hooked! You have such a talent for detail as well plus, you can tell that you really enjoy doing your projects and thats priceless. I just love it!

what keeps your cement from cracking on your walls and benches

The nature of the concrete. It is a form of utra-high-strength concrete (UHCP). It's design incorporates particle-packing of a graded series of particulates with NO large aggregate. Usually, 2 to 3 parts fine sand, 1 part Portland cement, 5 to 10 % CSA cement, 10% metakaolin, 8% silica fume, 2 to 3 % crystalline waterproofer, alkaline-resistant glass fiber in base coats, polyvinyl alcohol fiber in finish coats and acrylic polymer in the liquid portion. Underlying this mix design is the concept of ferrocement construction technique of metal rod and multiple layers of fine wire (chicken wire and expanded metal lath). The ferrocement technique is also known as thin-section concrete construction.
