I like the idea of few months of free ride! Gives people time to adjust to the new schedule.

This was heartwarming to watch fr. Hopefully it’s well maintained. Seconding to what the last guy said about security. It’s very imperative to have security at every station considering the state of the country. I’m sure they’ll implement once it’s properly launched. Thanks for sharing and a job well done, Wole🙏🏾

Actually there are armed and unarmed security officials inside that train, I have used the train and i know for a fact cos they don't wear uniforms. Another thing is that CCTV cameras are installed both in the train station and inside the train... People are being watched. That young guy is being naive about how the security system there works, let him bring his weapon and try something

@OlawoleIshola2 ай бұрын
@@okezuo6067 it is very easy, once you find your way to the Central Area, you can take a taxi or order a ride, it’s located at the Central Business District off Constitution Avenue.

This guy in White 😂 That means if this guy comes to Lagos he will think it's not safe but the thing is the metal detector in Lagos is even more advanced than the one at Abuja cos it doubles as a camera, metal detector and it also checks your temperature. There is no way you can avoid going through it cos there are several at every door plus they have a control center where they monitor movements. Dude is watching too many action films.
@emmanuelogundipe33282 ай бұрын
There is nothing like metro light rail. It's either a metro or a light rail. This is a metro. We do not have any light rail system in Lagos. We currently have four (active) metro lines (Abuja and Lagos ) and two (abandoned) mono rails (at P.H and Obudu). Light rails don't have train stations, they have train stops.
@akslinktim25492 ай бұрын
The last guy in white don’t know metal detectors machine works , they don’t need to search you someone monitor the machine as people go through it and they can see everything on you, and also the machine make sounds not because you have dangerous things with you but it sounds too if you have keys and coins with you

The metro light train being packed with people is not really becos it is free for now, even though it may play a part. All over the world in major cities, metro rail can be packed full of people especially during peak periods. This one is not even packed, go to Japan, Korea, UAE, UK, New York etc and see packed trains😅 it is called Mass transit for a reason. All the trains havent been deployed yet on the Abuja metro to increase the amount of trips and time schedules. Please let that guy @14:40 know that there's security on that train including cctv. By the way what time of the day was this? Good job bro

@@OlawoleIshola Great improvement, same time the day I boarded the train around May 2024 when it was first launched, very few people on board that period from Abuja metro to the Airport

@ The crowd I experienced was nothing compared to Lagos, in Lagos the train is usually empty.
@emmanuelogundipe33282 ай бұрын
For Lagos the crowd depends on the time of day. Rush hour period are always morning and evening. Even the crowd during that period is way more than what you have in Abuja. Plus it's normal for the Abuja train to be crowded cos it has few trips. In Lagos trains are available every eighteen minutes. A train can come and leave with the crowd and the next train might have few people on board that's what a metro feels like. Lagos is working towards having trains available at each station every five minutes.

A big step forward for Abuja mass transit. Nonetheless, we keep building high maintenance infrastructure, in a nation known for its very poor maintenance culture. For instance, I see white pillars at the entrance, those pillars will become filthy in no time at all! They should’ve gone creative with treated concrete, which wears hard. And is low maintenance. Anyhow, we applaud this effort whilst monitoring for maintenance and improvements.
@SimeonOla-c6x2 ай бұрын
Because it's free... By the time it's started with average price, the crowd will reduce, we would now have peak hours in the morning and closing evening hours..... Then, people can time their movements
