The scene isn’t AS bad as people say but there is way too much going on, it doesn’t give off the “I’m actually there right now” vibe and that’s what makes The Exorcist so different and special from all the other new CGI movies. Same concept but much more chilling and realistic. And the “take me!” thing in this movie felt a bit like a straight-up rip off from The Exorcist.

@@lessismore8533 To me I can feel as if I was actually in the scene because The Exorcist is probably the most realistic take on demonic possession movies ( I don’t believe in it anyway ) because it is not over the top and has a very quiet atmosphere which allows the viewer to easier feel like it is actually happening or as if they’re right in scene themselves. The lack of background music or thousands of special effects just does that to me, the exorcism scene in particular is so simple compared to other movies, especially modern ones, yet so chilling. It’s really just the emotions speaking for themselves. That’s obviously just me, though I think a lot of people would agree
