He didn't know how and when, firstly is obvious he's taking the corners better than rival More inertia, and more speed even if rival use the same trick he is not faster But when you use extra rpm you have to know when is time to shift i think one car in this movie does that and then the engine blows up

I am a old school loving fan of the great HK movie era ( 80's to middle 2000's ) and seriously this movie is an hidden gem❤ This film is a love letter to this era, jacky chan team stunt, michelle yeoh, tony leung, great fx, the dragon 😵😍❤️, the rings, the fun... Damned i love this movie so much !
